Windsor Palms?

We just booked our stay at a 4BR Windsor Palms pool home for June. We were really torn between Windsor Hills & Windsor Palms, but found a home that worked perfectly for us at Palms.

Any comments or tips about the community in general?

We stayed at both--WH in Summer 2007, WP this past June. They were both really nice and easily accessible, although WP is a bit further away. The pool area/club house was nicer at WH, but that's probably because the development is newer. We had much better pricing offers at places at WP.

Don't spend too much time second-guessing yourself. I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time at WP.

If you are like us, you will spend most time at the home or the parks and I always recommend going for the home that works best for you. We are lucky if we visit the clubhouse once during our stay!

The difference in travel time from WP or WH to the parks is small (a minute or two), especially if you use the Sherbeth Road entrance to WDW. So don't worry about location.

WP is smaller than WH and I think that is nice. You can walk from any home in WP to the clubhouse in a few minutes.

There is a sundry shop for those little bits and pieces that you may want to just walk to get (including ice cream - don't tell my kids though - or they will want to go there more!!!).

You will have a great time.

I just thought of one thing you may want to check on--the unit we stayed in at WP over the summer (August) and will stay in again next month didn't allow us to change the air. They had the unit behind a lock box. The townhouse felt perfectly cool after a long day at the hot parks, but got a bit stuffy at night since it didn't kick on as much. We both agreed that we wouldn't want to stay at the same place in the summer again since we weren't able to change the temperature like you can in a hotel or at the place we rented at WH the summer before.

They are both great resorts, built by the same developer (with Hills being the newer of the two). Enjoy!
