I've only stayed at WH in two different townhouses. I can tell you that WH is the newer of the two, only 3 yrs old. The resort is really nice. I think the pool at WH is nicer than the one at WP. It has a zero entry area and waterslide and also a fountain splash area for toddlers. There's a big whirlpool hottub area secluded from the main pool. The clubhouse has a fittness room, pool and ping pong tables, a few video games and mini theatre, sundry store. There's a large castle playground, tennis courts, putting green etc.
I think one of the reasons why the rates may seem cheap could be how well the condo is decorated/equipped. Each owner has a different level of amenities and furnishings. Also there's a huge amount of condos/homes available in the area and everyone wants the bookings.
If you're used to staying in hotels then these rates will seem cheap in comparison. Your getting 2 or 3 bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchen, dining and living room with washer/dryer, 2 or 3 tvs,dvd etc. for the price of a hotel room. I think it's great and can't imagine ever going to stay any length of time in a hotel room again.
The townhouses each have their own private splash pool. They have two bedrooms upstairs and one down all with bathrooms. The condos are in on one level in apartment like buildings. There's also 4 - 6 bedroom pool homes.
Just look at each listing and see what you're getting, email the owners and ask questions. Good luck.
