Can someone please give me some information about this resort? Is it a nice place? I'm thinking about a 3BR/3BA with a pool. Thanks!

klynn,
I don't want to be rude but do a search under the name. There has been lots and lots of inofrmation given over the last 12 months...most of it positive.

FLeisure, you obviously know how to search better than I. Can you tell me how to search when the following message appears: 'Sorry. The search function has been disabled by the administrator."??? BTW, I tried to search before I posted.

You do mean the "Windsor" Palms not to be confused with the "Wyndham" Palms, correct? If so, be careful. I think (but could very well be wrong) FLeisure was referring to the bountiful reports for the Wyndham. I haven't seen too much for the WINDSOR Palms Resort on this board, and unfortunately, the search vehicle for this board has been disabled. Hopefully someone who has first hand experience on the WINDSOR will read your post.

Sorry, I didn't realise the search facility had been disabled. Also Windsor Palms.....as soiabea says be careful. Realtors round here aren't too happy with the way they are marketing the resort and the manner in which they are steering potential buyers to a certain favoured management co.

Search is disabled when there are lots of people online at the same time. I check search in the early or late hours of the day, you'll probably be able to get in then.

BTW, Windsor's old name was Wyndham Palms. It is an absolutely beautiful resort about 5 mins from Disney. It has a movie theatre, a store, a heated pool, homes and 2 and 3 bedroom condos and 3 bedroom townhomes. As a vacationer I doubt if their marketing plans will effect me unless I intend to buy which I don't think is in the cards! My friend DID build a home there and is thrilled with it, though.

The property has very few 3 bedroom homes, I think I was told there are only 6. They have PLENTY of 4 bedroom homes though, and the 3 bedroom townhome has it's own private "splasher" pool.

Hope that helps!

I just booked a 3 bed townhome there for the last week of our vacation, when we do our offsite and Universal stuff.
It was a choice between onsite Universal and an offsite villa.
I decided that as a 5 person family, having enough space was priority over location, also it is so great having your own washer & dryer and own bedrooms. I like the idea of being in a gated community, with resort features which are important to us like a large heated pool and leisure facilities like tennis courts, so that whilst the girls swim, the boys can play tennis. The town homes are new so I am sure they will have good quality interiors - another priority on my list. I hate rooms with well used furnishings:crazy:

Ps Tag fairy - Husband failed his cleaning test - but I spent the money on the DVC instead of getting a housekeeper;) So...every time I do the ironing I think of WDW

We just returned from there last week and loved it. We rented a 3 BR condo from the owner. The pool was very nice, although we didn't get to spend much time there. Everything in our unit was NEW and very nice. I wish I were there now....

I'll second Reneelew's opinion of Windsor Palms - we were there last year in a 3 bedroom home and thought we'd died and gone to heaven! What a wonderful place to spend a week. We plan to return next year.

We just got back from a week in a 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo at Windsor Palms. It was wonderful. Very nice condo, spotless complex, nice heated pool and clubhouse, plenty of parking right outside your condo. Highly recommend it.

Windsor Palms looks to be very nice. And, the rates are good!

We will be with our DS(5)... Can anyone tell me if it will be 'fun' for him. Is the kiddie pool just a little wading pool?

Thanks!
