We just got back from our first family vacation to Disney! :) We stayed in a 3 bedroom townhome. We enjoyed ourselves! It was a very nice home and the commute to and from the parks is what I expected...pretty easy! Even commuting to Magic Kingdom didn't seem to be that much of a task!

Glad you enjoyed it!! I'm going back for my 3rd time next year (1st time was in a condo, last time in a town house and going back to the same town house) and I can't wait!! :thumbsup2

We stayed in a 3 BR condo last year at WH. We are going back in December and booked a 2 BR. I also can't wait. WH is very nice and convenient to the parks!

Does anyone have any advice on whether you can swim in the main pool in December? I understand that it is heated, but I'm wondering whether we will really be able to take our 2 and 4 year olds swimming.

I also would like to know the answer to this question:)

It all depends upon the weather. We've been there in Feb and have gone swimming in the pool and we've been when it's too chilly to go swimming. If the temps stay in the 70s and 80s then no problem but if you have some days when it stays down like we did 2 years ago then it might be too chilly.

I figured that was the answer. It looks like the weather can vary greatly in December so we'll just have to see. We went the first week of November last year and it was really nice, but we had to delay our trip for a month this year. I do hope our girls will be able to swim some though.

Yes, usually you can still swim. It kind of depends on the day, though. If the outside temperature is too low, then the pool heat may not be enough. We have swam on Christmas and New Years, but there some unusally cold days that are unexpected.
