Our family of 5 is looking for a place in Windsor Hills for the end of August into September through Labor Day. We would like something with a pool and a recommendation from someone who has rented or knows of a nice place we could check out outline. I just don't know where to begin. Thank you for all your help. This forum is awesome

Oh I see you are from USA. Just type in Villas in Windsor Hills resort and you will find many homes:thumbsup2

We rented a three-bedroom townhouse here:

http://www.disneyvisittownhome.com/index.html

Everything looked just as it does on the website and was in great condition. The owner was easy to work with and sent our deposit back promptly 30 days after we returned. There was a lock box on the front door with the key and it was nice not to have to go to a management company to check in.

Our resident 'expert' is currently vacationing in his town home in WH!! You might want to look at his place.

We wenr to WH at Christmas & are going back to the same townhome in October. It is a lovely place and I found the place on VRBO - I can find the exact details if you wat them. Not sure if you want a big pool or is the splash pool ok??

My family of 5 booked with "our resident WH expert". Check out 5mins2disney.com
Looking forward to a FABULOUS stay this August!!!!!

We stayed in a townhouse that was very nice. The owners were easy to deal with and their management team lives in WH and was only a few min. away when we needed the pool heat turned down. http://www.vrbo.com/69056

Hey guys! Greetings from Windsor Hills! (I'm here now!). Writing this from bed! hehe...just back from MK and California Grill! The resort is just incredible, my SIL/BIL are here with us and can't believe how nice this place is...and why anyone would stay in a hotel!

My other SIL/BIL stayed with us last year in WHR...and our place was booked...so they rented a pool home out in a place called "Four Corners". They said they felt they made a big mistake. It's too far..and the home was kind of old and "dirty" when they checked in. The pool heat was broken, they called the MC to get it fixed, who "yelled" at them, they said our MC was "wonderful" compared to this one (sorry I don't have the home address or MC's name).

They just said night and day difference...Windsor Hills is a short term rental / vacation resort, Four Corners, while cheaper, is further, but 60% residential, 30% "tour" bookings...and the rest STR rentals like them, they said next vacation they will be coming back to Windsor Hills, they feel like they made a mistake.

Anyhow, we're having just a GREAT vacation!

You can find all kinds of great homes here, best site is:
www.windsorhillsrent.com

Cheers! Off to bed, lots to do tomorrow!

Great, that is good to hear...we are staying in this same unit in a couple of months. The owner is nice but a bit spacey so I've been keeping fingers crossed that all will go well.

Hi

I would highly recommend Romancing the Mouse, www.romancingthemouse.com
It was a great house, very clean with a lot of added perks, warm cookies on arrival, bouquet of roses, muffins and orange juice. It was very clean and high quality decor.
If you have any questions feel free to PM me.They also have a referal program for an added discount, let me know if you are interested. I can pass along my info.

I think you will find that the homes mentioned by Ontmomof4 and Beamish are both on the same street and on the lakefront, so the pools have a great view and are not overlooked. There are a few lakefront homes to choose from - they do tend to get booked up early.

Is there a 4 bedroom house that anyone can recommend?

There are very few 4 bedroom homes in the resort, just so you know. (There are also very few 2 bedroom condos). Tons of 5 bedroom homes though, so I would suggest you do a targeted inquiry on windsorhillsrent.com for 4 and 5 bedroom homes and see who has openings / etc on your dates.

I did one once for a 4 bedroom home for friends, and I got all of 3 responses.

The good news though, many of the 5 bedroom homes rent for virtually the same rate!

Actually, a 5 bedroom would be even better, but I didn't realize the cost would be almost the same! Cool! It's for 3 families, 4 kids in all. Just out of interest, how much would we be talking about per week for a 5 bedroom house, ballpark? I've only ever stayed in hotel-type resorts, and I don't know how WH compares price-wise.

They look great! Where exactly is Windsor Hills in relation to WDW? I'd love to see it on a map.

If you go to romancing the mouse website and go to the link our resort it has a map you can go to.
It is one of the closest to WDW.We would go back during the day for a break.
If you are interested and would like my info to qualify for the referral discount let me know.
Have fun planning.
