Windsor Hills....walking distance to pool?

I'm currently sorting through a bunch of offers on condos at Windsor Hills. They are all in different buildings...ranging from 1 to 8.

I've looked at a WH property map, and I can see that the higher the building number, the closer it is to the pool.

But here is my question...
Can anyone give me an estimate of how long it takes to walk to the pool from a particular building? For example, how long does it takes to walk from building #1? How long does it take to walk from building #2? Etc, etc.

My best offers seem to be coming from the condo buildings furthest from the pool. Just wondering if this is going to be a far walk away, or not so bad.

Thanks for any help! :)

Building 2785 was a 5 minute walk to the pool. That is one of the "furthest" buildings in Almaton Loop. We went out the condo door made a left (couldn't go right) and walked to one of the side streets. (Salt something) Once we hit the side street we made a right onto Almaton/Comrow and the pool was right there.

My kids found a way to walk that they cut through some hallways in the Comrow section and wound up at the back entrance of the pool. That also took 5 minutes.

Comrow Street and Almaton were the closest. Comrow was basically next to the pool.

Thanks Cindy, but I'm confused. You said Building 2785...according to the WH maps, the condo buildings are numbered 1-8.

I am interested in the answers here too as I am booked in 2809 and have no idea what building number it is. Any thoughts?

Kind of an off-topic question Sherry7, but I see you stayed in a beachside cottage in Negril. Was that Crystal Waters? Just curious because I am looking to book a beach cottage type vacation for our young family somewhere in the Caribbean. Thanks.

Hi Lisa, we stayed at Nirvana on the Beach. We really enjoyed our week there. I recently wrote a really long review about it on tripadvisor, here:

The owner's website is: http://www.nirvananegril.com/

I don't have small kids, but if you do, this place is fantastic. The rear part of the beach is fenced in, which would really help with keeping an eyes on the kids. They offer babysitting service too, but I'm not sure of how much that costs. It's nice and quiet there, and very peaceful. They book up really early, so plan accordingly.

I was at this condo

2785 Almaton Loop #204

You must be reading the WH map wrong because that was/is the address.

Hi Cindy. Thanks for the info. This is the map I'm looking at, which is on the WH website (the condos are in the upper right corner):

Perhaps the "2" in 2785 refers to building #2? Not sure about that, as I've never stayed here.

Anyone else have any estimates on the walking time to the pool from various buildings? I'm sorting through a multitude of rental offers, and the info would really help my decision making process. Thanks! :goodvibes

Yes we just rented our unit... our owner said that the units are not numbered by single number. For example, he said that when you drive up to the units it does not say "8" or "11" or any other single number on the building, it says the address so Cindy is right, you need to know your address. Also, with that single numbering system, that is not an official system, it was developed by some owner and then some other owners have changed it over time, and sometimes on a map building "8" is the one closest to the pool, while on other maps building "1" or "6" is the one closest to the pool. Don't use that single number system, it is not official or reliable, it's confusing as he says. As Cindy says, she was a only few minutes walk away and she was farthest from the pool, so every unit in there is a few minutes or less. Also my owner said that the buildings at the pool are noisy, and they don't buy units there because of that noise and kids screaming or runnng thru the hallways on the way to and from the pool, especially at night.

I was glad he told me that because I would never have thought of it, I wanted to be closest to the pool, but now I know better and it makes sense.

Good luck with your choice, I think we made a good decision after we saw everything and looked at a lot of websites!

Your post helps explain a lot. Thanks! I had this picture in my mind of the buildings having a big 1, 2, 3, etc posted on them.

All the condos were built in the vicinity of the pool, it's an easy walk from the condos, the townhomes, and any of the villas around the lake.
