I have booked my family in at Windsor Hills and the day we arrive is my oldest's 12th birthday. I would like to invite our family (who live in Florida) over for dinner that night (ordering in). Am I allowed guests? How many? My Grandma, Dad, Brother, Sister-in-law and their 2 babies (1 & 3) all live in Orlando and I would like to invite them to me so i can get everyone settled in our new place rather than have to travel more when we arrive. Is that allowed? Am I allowed to let their 1 & 3 year old use the big pool/splash pad with us?

Also, where can I go to check-in/preprint our boarding passes online 24 hours before we leave from Windsor Hills?

Thanks so much!

Hi -
The resort will allow you to have guests / visitors, but whether or not they would be allowed in the home you're renting would be up to the owner you rented from, everyone's policies are slightly different in this regard. I would guess it shouldn't be a problem, but you might want to ask.

The idea of putting clauses or statements limiting guests or visitors into rental homes is that no one wants their home being the site for the next big spring break party....granted this isn't as much of a problem in the Disney area, as say, Daytona, but it does happen occasionally!

I'm not sure how to answer your question regarding checkin in or pre-printing your boarding passes.... umm... if there's an internet connection in the home you rented you could checkin there, and you could print them if you have a printer or the home does. There's no "business center" type of setup at the resort though with printers / PCs or something though...if that's what you meant?

That is exactly the info I was looking for. I am so grateful you are here!:worship:

I was going to check with the owner about guests but thought I would ask here first. We are a pretty quiet family and try to be very respectful so I didn't want to scare them by asking if it's off-limits. I will email them now. Thx.

As for internet access, I will leave my laptop at home, so is there an internet cafe close by?

Thanks!:)

I don't know if there is one closer to WH, but there is an internet cafe at the Formosa Gardens Plaza (junction of 192 and Funnie Steed Road).

192 & Funie Steed road is about 1, maybe 1.5 miles from WHR...VERY close by...I didn't even know there was an internet cafe there to be honest! LOL

Is that in the same shopping plaza as the Giordano's / supermarket / grocery store that's there...on the south side of US-192?

US-192 is kind of the "main" drag... miles and miles of restaurants, stores, cheesy tourist shops (LOL..but it's true!)...etc... there's SO much stuff on there it's hard to know what all is along there.

Here is a map of US-192 and all the stores on it:

Windsor Hills is on Map 2 (you make a left / south on Old Lake Wilson Road), the "shortcut" road to WDW is on this map also, Sherberth.... I think the internet cafe Kay is referring to is over by the Goodings Winn-Dixie plaza (the grocery store) by Formosa Gardens Rd. (It does say "internet cafe" on the map there).

Yes it is in (or very close to) the Formosa Gardens Plaza Shopping Center. It is in the general area of the TGI Fridays / Cracker Barrel.

To be honest, although I know it is there, I haven't taken much notice of it. It is supposed to be an internet cafe, now if it changed to a Starbucks, I would have taken more notice :-). It is a smallish building on its own, closer to the 192. (Black and white in color maybe?)

I have heard that they do try and sell timeshare tours there, so just be aware (and just say no...)

I also believe that Allstar (a management company with a check in office in the Formosa Plaza) has or is going to have internet computers for people to use.

Don't know if this helps, but we flew Southwest last year. I did online checkin in at the villa 24 hours prior to our flight (to get the "A" boarding pass, which we got), then used the kiosk in the terminal to print the boarding passes. Easy as pie!
