You'll find a good selection of homes at Emerald Island and Windsor Hills on these sites:

I'll echo much of what said above and say the resorts are very close and similar standard windsor hills has broader property choice as also has condos and the townhomes ate WH have plunge pools unlike EI. EI is more landscaped with woodland walks etc but WH has better and bigger community pool area. You'll also find 7 bed homes at EI whilst biggest at WH is 6 bed.

We have only stayed at Windsor Hills and just love that it is so close to the park. We visited friends at EI last March and while it was nice, we thought it to be a bit to far - I guess WH just spoiled us. Also, while the gate at WH drives me nuts, EI only had one lane open going in. So, if you were checking in or had a pass, you had to wait. We did not like that at all.

I will say that we have stayed at EI a couple times now and the gate was never an issue. New parties are directed to the clubhouse and existing renters have hangtags. I could see how they may want to screen those who are neither. On only one occasion did we approach the entrance and there were more than 2-3 cars in line and they immediately opened the second lane to waive through those with tags. I wouldn't worry about this as a negative in your consideration.

Same here. We never had an issue with the gate being too congested.

We picked EI when we rented our house because they had 7 bedroom 5 bathroom houses and for 11 people we wanted the extra bedroom.
