Windsor Hills or Emeral Isle

Can anyone compare travel convenience and safety at Windsor Hills or Emerald Isle? Are they located in Kissimmee. How far to Disney? We have not stayed at either location. Thanks

We haven't stayed at Emerald Island but we have stayed at Windsor Hills quite a few times. We love it there! It is a gated community with great resort amenities. It's about 5 minutes to Disney and about 5 minutes to shopping, restaurants and golf.

We are looking forward to our next visit in November!

I've stayed at both numerous times and like them both. Windsor Hills has a nicer community pool/clubhouse/movie theater/playground etc. Emerald Island has more greenery/nicer entrance/bigger homes etc. Both have a manned gate which you need a parking pass for. You will feel safe in both but take normal precautions about leaving stuff in cars or laying around : theft happens anywhere. They are both in the same general area of west 192 in Kissimmee, close to the Animal Kingdom side of Disney. From WH you can be in the AK parking lot in 7 min. and from EI it may take 9 or 10. There are loads of restaurants within 2-10 min. of either one along this stretch of 192. Also a Super Target, Publix and Winn Dixie:Marketplace just a few minutes away. Both are nice.

Both are nice communities. Windsor Hills is newer and slightly closer to Disney, but either are great for vacation rentals.
