Hello to everyone.
I have been to Disney numerous times but this time might prove to be hard to organize. 3 couples, 4 preschoolers, one toddler and a set of grandparents.
I have spent the last 3 hours looking at Windsor Hills 6 bedroom villas and I think I might go crazy if I don't get some input. We have stayed at a wonderful townhouse last january. Very clean, owner extra nice, pool heat on, beds better than at home decor wonderful.
So, we have high expectations.
"collectively" we want 6 bedrooms, nice beds/decor, high chair, stroller and TOYS (kids suggestion).
One villa was super nice but no toys and owner didn't seem to approve of the 5 kids...(with 8 adults(2 of them being doctors and one carpenter) I think we should be able to manage;-)
Suggestions?? Anyone?? Please help!
Anyone rented a 6 bedroom?
Thanks in advance:grouphug:

You're going to need a 6 bedroom that has only 2 twin rooms for the kids and 4 adult bedrooms. Some of them are 3 adult 3 twin/kids. Our family is going in Nov and we have rented a 6 bedroom with the latter configuration. It is this one: http://www.vrbo.com/82681
The lady also owns another 6 bedroom with 4 adult 2 kids but I don't know about the toys part. http://www.vrbo.com/82687
There's a lot to chose from on vrbo.com, homeaway.com or windsorhillsrent.com I've spent hundreds of hours it seems looking for the right place.

Same boat here! I have been looking and looking for our 6 bed home in WH for next year and as usual cannot make up my mind! However, maybe I can help the OP. The very nice home we rented in March (www.valhallavillas.com) --- Gigha villa -- has 6 bedrooms, only two with twins. Their other home, Jura, has 3 with twins. The owner is great, and generally charges a bit less than competitors, but the home has only a few pool toys. It is 4 homes away from the huge castle playground.

FWIW, here is the quote range I have seen for 1 week in March in a 6 bed at WH: $1600-$2500. I had multiple quotes at both the low and high end. Usually I wait until closer to our trip, and I must say that if you want to save money, that is the way to do it. Few owners are willing to deal this far out (which I completely understand).

Another home we are considering is owned by a family with 5 children, so I would think there are toys there. You might want to just inquire. Their website is www.mickeysvacationcastle.com (vrbo # 94549).

There are also the DSNY homes -- I bet they have toys -- but they are so lavishly decorated that you will pay more for them (I am comparing her quote with all the other 6 bed quotes).

Not sure if this makes things more confusing or helps. Send me a PM if you are interested in seeing more homes on our short list! and good luck!

We were looking into a 6-bedroom house last August ... and then Disney announced Free Dining so we ended up at Pop Century instead.

Romancing The Mouse was one of the nicest companies I found: http://www.romancingthemouse.com/index.html We had 3-4 couples who all wanted King sized beds plus 4 kids. What I liked about them is that every room can be configured with a King-sized bed *or* two twins.

Their 6-bedroom is located over in Windsor Palms.

Hi!

Unless you are totally committed to Windsor Hills (which is a lovely resort btw), you might want to consider a 7 bedroom house. You'll be more likely to get four king size master suites in a 7 bedroom house. But I don't believe there are 7 bedroom homes in WH - may want to think about two side by side homes in Windsor Hills

We'll be staying in Formosa Gardens at St. Andrews Villa this November. We don't mind the fact that there's no club house, the pool & hot tub that are in our back yard are huge and will suit us just fine. We'd rather not hike to the clubhouse anyway. Here's the link the home where we'll be vacationing: http://www.ov4u.com/emerald-luxury-holiday-villa.htm

There's lots of neighborhoods in the general area of WH, so you might also consider Indian Ridge, Emerald Island... or There's lots of options!

Good luck!

That's a good idea. We were at WH in March for about 9 nights, and I think twice we used the communal pool. It's nice to have those features, but with disney around the corner (not to mention Universal and Sea World) you won't have time to miss them!

We made the WH townhouse choice over the WH condo. We didn't want people above and below and love the splash pool option plus no hassles finding a parking spot. It does look like the condos are more convenient to the main pool - but we don't mind a 5-10 minute walk. The main pool/clubhouse is a big reason we chose WH. We are only doing US/IOA this trip and plan a lot of down time at WH so the kids need a fun place to hang out.

I cant wait! :woohoo:

We are booked at a villa through Premier Disney Homes next month. There are 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Private pool, game room, play structure outside, and lots more. I'll give more feedback when I return, but we are looking forward to it.

Nancy:)
