Windsor Hillians, do you take a break?

I am wanting to take midday nap breaks (probably from 1-5pm), especially on our MK days. Have any of you done this? How did it work logistically? How long did it take?

We were at Rolling Hills last July and we took breaks every day. It wasn't bad at all even from MK and RH is further than WH. We usually were back at the house by 1:30 and left to head back to the park around 4:30.

It was marvelous especially since it was so hot out and we could head right into the pool. Being that there were 8 kids in the house, we didn't have any luck with naps but the break was always needed!

We took breaks with the grandkids and timed it from MK back to WH it took 30 minutes. That's from where we waited for the monorail to take us back to the TTC then to the car and then drive to WH. Usually left around 1pm or so and went back 4:30ish. No problems.
From AK it was about 10 - 15 min. From the others some where in between.

We came 'home' to WH every day. We would leave early to mid afternoon, come home for a snack, swim, and supper and then head back to the parks. It worked great--no meltdowns for us! :thumbsup2

We take breaks - not a problem! It's not a long drive - the only hassle really is from MK, getting on the monorail and then the tram (esp. with a stroller). But, definitely worth it because it avoids cranky kids and we can go back and have a great time in the evening.

It may have been a coincidence that we took the ferry from MK to TTC on a slow day, but today we tried the ferry on the way out of MK and it was so pleasant and less hassle than the monorail.

what about parking at the parks do you have to pay twice when you went back to rental for a break?

Your parking pass is valid all day at any of the WDW parks - so you can take a break or move your car from MK to Epcot - whatever you need to do :)

During our trip, we had a break after lunch, a 2-3 hours will be great. Then after go out for snack. :lmao:

Have a nice day everyone. :)

No problem. It's a little less convenient from MK than it would be using Disney transportation to/from a Disney resort. But, from all the other parks, driving to/from WH is at least as convenient as using Disney transportation to/from most Disney resorts.

Great question. We are staying at WH in March and I was wondering about the same thing. Great to know.

WH regulars any suggestions for good family in the area and most convenient disney shopping?

We took breaks every day. As much for me and hubby as for the kids. We get to the parks early (before rope drop) do a couple of hours, go back to the townhome and chill out and then head back out. I think it makes the whole trip so much nicer. We don't end up with the cumulative exhaustion that seems to build each day if your not taking breaks.
