So last June my family and I stayed onsite at a Value. We had a great time and talked up our vacation so much that we've convinced my parents and my brother to go with us this coming May. Since there will be 5 adults, one child, and one infant, a Disney Villa is the only option but way to far out of our budget. A friend referred to me Windsor Hills. I am a little afraid of it though. I am afraid of inconsitencies of furnishings, cleaninliness, proximity to the parks, and I am bothered by some owners who require a security deposit that isn't returned until 30 days after departure.

Whew.

Anyone have any input? Are condos cheaper than the townhouses? I am afraid to inquire and get another 40 emails from owners, lol.

If you've stayed, was the process stressless? Would you stay again?

Really anything insightful and helpful would be very appreciative. I have been hung with planning the entire trip myself . Typical, but my parents are sometimes hard to please and I'd hate to bring them to a shabby condo, or have a hotel experience a LOT less magical than staying on property. (although I know it won't be quite the same).

We have rented 2 differnt condos one in winsor hills the other not an both was clean!!!

I am a person who hates to be bugged by emails, sales persons in general gotta say when I inquared about a condo I was sent the details an price that was usually it unless we booked thru that person even then nothing that I would consider out of line an I very picky about that.

Not all holds the deposit for 30 days after departure. We won't go thaT route either as it's to easy to be blamed for something you did not damage.

Winsorhills was very very close to the parks on the west side there is getting to be seveRAL sit down resturants fairly close too out on 192. I noticed at park closing we'd take our time walking out to car getting in car get a drink from cooler maybe even drink our drink before starting car an driving out of the lot, some nights we stopped for gas an we was still back at our condo sooner than disney buses got us back to our resort an we didn't have to stand in that long line waiting for bus nor have sweating strangers sweat all over us or listen to screaming over tired children or adults much much more relaxing way to end the night!!!!

We were very pleased with our decision to stay at Windsor Hills,

We found the journey to and from the parks easy and quite fast it was our first time so we had nothing to compare it with but I certainly didn't feel it took too long. Plus if we needed anything we could pick it up on the way there or back. I also loved with small children getting into a car strapping them in their seats and turning the airconditioning on.

Our condo was very clean and had everything we could need. The had all things we needed for the baby and a small umbrella stroller we could take the the parks for our eldest incase he needed it. There is a small report and some photos in my trip report linked in my signature.

I know what you mean about the emails, but really it is the only way you can take charge of the situation. What I did was put in our requirements and then started a spreadsheet.

I discounted anything too cheap and anything too expensive they vary alot. I did this because rightly or wrongly I kinda thought if it was that cheap there must be something wrong with it. I then checked all their websites to see the decore of the condos and what they included with them.

We then found a couple that suited I emailled the owners to ask a few questions and then made our decision. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and I felt bad when we decided on one and I told the others we wouldn't be hiring with them.

Getting into the complex was easy, I loved the gated security, we used the pool which was nice and the kids enjoyed it.

Don't discount the townhouses because I believe they can sometimes be the same price or less as the condos we chose a condo as with two small children I didn't want the worry of the splash pool.

The condo buildings have lifts so you don't have to drag everything up stairs so that was really good.

Anyway I hope this is of some help to you. We certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay there again either in the same condo or another one.

Hi there,

We are renting from Dave Robinson condo for next August. It's our first time renting a condo and so far we love the experience, we are not even stressed. I am usually an anxious person.....:lovestruc

If you are using Windsor Hills Rent and don't want loads of responses, here is a tip:

Focus on what type of place you want, sounds like a 3 bedroom condo or a 3 bedroom townhome.

Then go through each one individually, and when you find one you like, pull it up, look to the left of the advertisement, and they usually have a personal website with lots more information. Click on it.

Then send them a specific inquiry, either from WH Rent, or you can from their website if it is an option.

Also, don't forget to check their availability calendar to see if they are available for your dates.

Narrow it down to several that you like, and call the owners, that will even give you a better idea of you would like to rent from them. Even have a list of questions ready when you call.

Keep a good record, as you can get overwhelmed and forget which one you called, etc.

If you just click the general enquiry button, which most people do, then you are sending an e-mail to everyone on the site.

You can also send to all 3 bedroom condos, townhomes, etc.

Also, check out VRBO and Homeaway, just go on Kissimmee, and go to Windsor Hills, and there are lots of properties and pictures, you can separate out.

Hope that helps. There are a lot of great places!

Sandy
