We had a fun, but wet time at MNSSHP tonight!! No parade or fireworks by 10 pm, but they were still holding out hope that the rains would pass. We had our pictures taken in our rain ponchos, as that was our costume this evening. Got lots of candy at the entrance to the candy trail in Toontown, but the other spots on the way to Tomorrowland were closed. Thanks to all the CM's who were even more soaked that us, but still helped us have fun. Fortunately we have tickets for the 30th also. I would have been disappointed to only be going tonight and miss the good stuff.

We are lucky we have tickets for Sunday also, but I feel very badly for those people who only had one chance to attend, and it was tonight.

Oh my bless your little hearts! What a soggy time! :umbrella:

I'm glad you get to next weekend...hoping for great weather for y'all then!

They finally did the fireworks and parade so that was good. Walk ons for everything-rides, face painting, candy:) Wet but fun!

Main Street Fan and Paisley Jane, you two better not be sick for Sunday now! Silly girls, love ya both, see you Tuesday for cookies and costume fittings!

We just got back in from the party too! This was our only night, but we had lots of fun. Got to do everything we wanted, and then some. Got pretty wet, but we've been our in MUCH worse here before.

Dinner at LTT tonight was great! Everyone CM's and guests seem to be in such a good mood the past few days. Very nice, and a complete difference from what we experienced over the summer.

When we got in, we had a letter under the door letting us know MGM and Animal Kingdom are closed tomorrow. Epcot and MK have not announced hours yet.

I'm glad you all had a good time. I know the weather forecast was pretty ugly for that area earlier this evening. We've been having storms off and on all night!

Good to know that you can still have fun at the party even if it rains, I'll be there on the 28th, and maybe the 30th if it doesn't sell out.

everything was a walk-on tonight. they managed to get hallowishes off late and the parades minus the headless horseman. the rain didn't stop until around 10:30. our daughter's school is cancelled tomorrow, and I just called in sick. stupid hurricane.

I had tickets to last night's MNSSHP but never went in. It took me over an hour to catch a bus from POR and get to the party. I started waiting at 6:40, watched two buses fill, and finally got standing-room as the last person on the 3rd bus that came! Then after all the POR stops, finally arrived at MK at 7:40! By then the rain was torrential, so I turned right around and came back to POR. Never even went through the turnstiles. Fortunately, I figured that Sunday would be a rain-out, so I also got tickets to last Friday's MNSSHP and had the best time. I also have tickets to Tuesday's party, so I am not too disappointed I missed it. Did lose my money, though!

I can't believe so many of you went! It was just too much lightning and rain for me!

This was the first year that my husband and I splurged and attended this event. As AP holders, we never wanted to pay extra to get into a park we can get into any other day, but we heard so many good things about the parade and fireworks that we finally decided to give it a shot. But we really picked the wrong night! Lesson learned here: do not buy tickets in advance unless you want to go on Halloween night!

The park did look beautiful all lit up and decorated, but once it started raining it was just miserable. I'm sure there weren't as many characters out, the parade was cancelled, then the fireworks were postponed...and then we gave up at 10 pm. I'm happy for everyone else that hung in there that they did eventually do the fireworks and the parade. We had to drive back to Tampa though, and we were beginning to worry about the weather, and I was soaked and very grumpy so we threw in the towel!

We will definitely try this again next year because it really did look fun. Again though, with hurricane season getting worse every year, we will definitely buy our tickets when we are confident the weather will be ok! I'm sick this morning that we spent $60+ for nothing.

We were there also. Luckily we got there around 4:30 and the crowd wasn't to bad so we got alot of our rides in before the party started. We got tons of candy. My DS wanted to go home because he was so wet and tired so we left around 9:15. We'll try again next year.

Glad I am not the only one who threw in the (wet and soggy) towel! Your post makes me think I did the right thing by skipping the whole night! I can't imagine I would have had any fun at last night's party. I love meeting the characters and they tend to not be out much in bad weather. There were also tornado warnings in central Florida which was unsettling. I admire those who stuck with it, but I went back to my warm, dry room at POR! I am lucky that I can do another night's party instead. :)
