That movie is one of my all time favourites. Right now, the song that is running through my head is "I've got a golden ticket, I've got a golden ticket. Of course, what I'm singing is:

And the prize? Aside from the clippie. Energy, clothes too big, AND I'm able to walk up stairs without using the handrail to drag myself up!

That was FANTASTIC!! I just watched that movie 3 times with my 2 younger DD's last week.

ABout 12 years ago we were lilving in Austrailia. We came back to the US for the holidays and my Aunt Joanne invited all my kids over to her house. Willy Wonka and the CHocolate Factory is her all time favorite movie! She had set up her family room with the vcr and played the movie for the kids........ BUT that was not all. She had gone to the grocery store and bought EVERY kind of candy imaginable for those kids to eat! But first we had a great dinner of a variety of our favs- and she put the candy out. They will always remember that as one of their best holidays- not just because that was their first visit to WDW, but because Auntie Joanne was so much fun and allowed them to eat whatever they wanted during that movie!
Having participated in that fun day, I hvae decided that as a grandmother I will try to put these kinds of days into our rountine when we have grandkids stay. I have all the disney movies- and when I find toys on clearance that go with the movies- I buy them. I have been fortunate enough to find a few really cute cookbooks, party idea books and puzzle books that also have Disney movie themed ideas in them. We will have Disney nights where were incorporate the movies, toys and themed food and games! Now- here's the funny part- I have no children that are married yet! Thery're still pretty young- 19, 21& 22! BUT WHEN WE DO HAVE GRAND CHILDREN to look after- watch out! They are gonna have fun!

OOPS!! Sorry- I guess I kinda got off the subject for a minute there! CAn you tell that I can hardly wait to do these nights?!?!?
Anyway-

Congratulations!! Love that clippie! And the song! Except now I'll be singing the "oompa, loompa" song in my head all day. Not too bad and much better than that other song that I won't mention by name cause then it would mess everybody up, but you know the one with the boat ride and all the little dolls singing the same song over and over and over..........

Willy Wonka is one of the scariest movies I've ever watched. It freaks me out!! My daughter loves it, but I think it's scary.
