Will you skip hollywood studios on your next trip?

We will probably be skipping WDW entirely until some of the new stuff is open. We will probably go back between Pandora opening and the new Lands in DHS.

It looks like Hollywood Studios is going to be gutted for a while. Will you bother going, or will you spend your time elsewhere? I'm debating- we have six day tickets for our next trip but I'm not sure Hollywood Studios is worthwhile because so few attractions are open and the ones that are will probably have very long lines.

Yes. Next trip is just DH and I. Our favorites are Toy Story Mania, the shows, and a nice lunch. Given that, we don't have much to do if we arrive at open to have fun at Toy story and enjoy shows as most are closed or gone or not open early before lunch. So, since we have 4 days and want to do Epcot 2x (F&W) we will leave HS off. We did not enjoy AK last summer when it was a walled city. We know this will be similar and prefer to wait.

I'll be back in April 17 with my DD 16 snd will visit HS as she prefers RNR ToT so it's worth it for her.

We won't be skipping HS our next trip but we will only be there 1/2 a day. ToT, RnR, and Fantasmic are always must dos for us! And I always love seeing the shows whenever I can :)

Wouldn't dream of skipping. You still have TOT, Toy Story, Star Tours, Rock n Rollercoaster, the Great Movie Ride and Fantasmic!

Nope! Wouldn't even consider skipping. They may not have a whole lot, but what they do have, I love. Fantasmic! is my favorite night show, haven't seen the Star Wars fireworks yet, but will in 2 weeks! ToT and RnRC are easily 2 of my favorite rides in all of WDW, I can't not ride them.

Stopped in 4 times earlier this month just for Star Wars Fireworks at a minimum.

And the guy in Frozen Forever one night was hilarious. Gaston was amazing at B&B. But yes Fantasmic as well, plus FP+ for TOT/RNR/ST, some nights TOT/TSM/ST as well.

We wont be skipping it in July. Some of our favorite rides are there. No one in our family particularly cared for any of the attractions that were closed anyway. Now I would not be particularly thrilled with purchasing a one day ticket but as part of our vacation package? No problem. Plus we want to see the new star wars stuff.

We got PH tickets due to FD so we plan on spending a 1/2 day at HS. If just base tickets, we would have skipped.

We haven't been to WDW in 5 years, so we won't be skipping any park! Who knows when we'll be able to go back? We'll try to make the most of it, no matter what is going on or not going on.

Honestly, I am having a hard time fitting everything in to our DHS day without going commando, which is not my preferred touring style. Clearly we are in the minority, but I think DHS has a lot to offer our family with older elementary aged kids. From the thrill rides to the Star Wars shows and meet and greets, to the evening entertainment there is not much that I would happily scratch off our must do list.

The tiering of rides and the need to arrive at rope drop to secure a spot in JTA along with long-ish, scheduled shows means coming up with a game plan for the day has been challenging, but I have to say this is the park I think my kids will enjoy the most. I am disappointed that it seems like it is unlikely to be as charming as it was the last time we were there in 2009 but I think the offerings are darn near tailor made for our family.

HS is my favorite park so I will be spending several days from my next visit there. I could spend all day on ToT and never get sick of it. Plus the Beauty and the Beast Show, RnR and the Star Wars fireworks and meet and greets. Plus, getting a peanut butter and jelly shake at 50's Diner is a must do!

We didn't skip it this past weekend...but it is only a 1/2 day park now...maybe a 1/4 day.

Almost skipped yesterday and glad we didn't. Too much fun at Frozen Sing along, Toy Story of course and the Star Wars fireworks alone made it a not to be missed park

If you have park hoppers, it's worth a short trip but I can't spend more than 1/2 day there. There's nothing to do.

Agreed--it'll only be a 1/2 day for us on our next trip. RnRC, ToT, TSM, GMR (Holy acronyms, Batman!), One Man's Dream, Star Tours, Muppet Vision and we're out of there. Probably take the boat over to EP and have lunch in WS, or maybe go back for our afternoon break. We like Fantasmic but not enough to come back just for that.

I was just there in April and DHS was less packed and crazy than I expected, it was MK that was crazy. We were at MK on 4 different days too so it wasn't just a "bad day" and 2 of those days it was "most recommended". I will be going to DHS still. Most attractions I cared about are still open and the Star Wars additions (Launch Bay w/Jaws & M&Gs, Captain Phasma march, Stage Show and Fireworks) have really helped with the closure of the other attractions. If you're not a Star Wars fan it's hard to say, but if you are it's worth a day IMO.

I'm hoping, based on all of the people here who say skip or half day, that it won't be crowded! But I've heard otherwise from everyone who's been recently. :(
