It looks like Hollywood Studios is going to be gutted for a while. Will you bother going, or will you spend your time elsewhere? I'm debating- we have six day tickets for our next trip but I'm not sure Hollywood Studios is worthwhile because so few attractions are open and the ones that are will probably have very long lines.

As much as I love TOT and TSMM, we are going to skip this year. We are just going to go to MK and Epcot during our trip this November and actually spend some time enjoying the resort.

Yes we just got back from at 5 day trip with 5 day passes. And I wish we would have skipped DS and did 2 days at Epcot. And ToT is my favorite attraction in all of WDW. So much about DS that I love but with all the construction it was hard to get around.

Headed to WDW next month for a business conference. I have two days where I can visit the parks. Normally I would do MK and DHS, but decided it's not worth going to DHS. I only have 1 park, 1 day conference tickets. So I feel going to DHS for the few hours it would take to hit up the big rides would be a waste of a day. Decided that I will be hitting the MK for both of those days.

Fantasmic is my 2nd fav show after FOLTK so, 'no' - I will definitely be going some evening, maybe walk over from Epcot one night

Nope! Love Stuidos - it was the first park that we went to on our first trip - ots tradition

For our stay last week I had planned one day at Hollywood Studios and two days at Animal Kingdom. After spending one day at each, we had a family pow wow and decided to change our 2nd Animal Kingdom day to another Hollywood Studios day. For our first day at HS we had gotten fast passes for Toy Story Mania, Star Tours, and Tower of Terror. We also did the Frozen sing along and toured the Star Wars launch bay area. We finished the night with the Symphony in the sky fireworks. The things the girls still wanted to do included: Great movie ride, Beauty and the Beast, Rock in Rollar coaster, Indiana Jones and Fantasmic. We did all of those plus a second round of photos at Star Wars (Kylo Ren this time), Frozen sing along, and Star Tours.

At Animal Kingdom for one day we did all of our "must dos" except for the Nemo show.

I too thought that we would find much less to do at Hollywood Studios, but that wasn't the case for us. Its still a two-day park.

We skipped in January. Had just been in August. It's fun, but only if it works for half a day.

No. We will not skip it. It's not exactly "gutted". They closed off the Streets of America and Pizza Planet (which we haven't eaten at in probably 8 or 9 years anyway becuz it was nasty) and the LMA stunt show (which we only did every other trip or so anyway). All of the headliners are still there. TOT (which never disappoints), RNR, TSMM, Star Tours, Indiana Jones, Beauty & the Beast etc. are all still up & running. Now, granted, we have AP's and usually go down 2-3 times a year so it's not like we're only buying a 1-day admission JUST to HS. If you're buying park hoppers why would you skip it? If you're not springing for park hoppers is the only reason I could see for passing it over. But the reality is that they haven't closed off THAT much. There never really was an excessive amount of attractions to start with. The new lands once opened will definitely offer added value tho in the distant future. We always park hop tho and do at least 2 parks a day on multiple days so that we visit each park several times over the course of a week. Keeps everything interesting and our days mixed up with a little bit of everything. IMO Epcot is the park that needs a little love and some more to do....that's the park with the long lines for what they have open. I could not see spending a week at WDW and spending all of it only in the other 3 parks. I would need something else....

the only things that you will miss from the construction site was LMA, the Honey playground and some shops and meet and greets.
The rest of the park is there and it won't change anytime soon.
Just be aware that Muppets courtyard is a dead end and Pixar Lane is a dead end

We have too many favorite rides there to skip...RnR, ToT, TSMM, and Star Tours!

Not skipping it.
We have been there multiple times, but never fit Indiana Jones into our schedule.
No excuses to miss it this time.

Nope, we'll still go. The area that is closed wasn't a huge draw for us anyway. Except for my son, who adored LMA. :)

As long as TSM, Tot, R n Roller coaster and GMR are open, we're there. Hitting RD and FP+ will take care of the line issue.

This exactly! We may hop to another park early afternoon, but we definitely won't skip it!

Everything I go for is still open. I saw LMA when it first opened and that was enough, no desire to see it again. Backlot Tour saw many times, no big loss. My big favorites are TSM, RnR, ToT, GMR. I wouldn't call it "gutted".
