I'm just curious to know how many tickets per night will be sold. I would never do it with my kiddos, but MIGHT consider it for an adult's only trip. I remember back in the early 2000's they used to charge for after hours (e night?) and it was fun. However, I don't remember the price being anywhere near this $150 price tag.

They're not going to say. Even if it starts off low, they like to "keep their options open".

I have not read through the thread, and know only the early/original news on it.

I wish the poll had an "Only if..." option. The one thing that would make me even consider this would be the presence of rare characters for meet & greet. Specifically, since traveling during "Party Season" is not an option for me, a "Mudnight Meet" with Jack & Sally would really make me want to splurge on this.

No way would I pay for this just to do things I can do during regular hours, no matter how "limited" the crowds.

I sort of feel the same way. I would consider it if they added some rare characters.

I just didn't want to muddle up the poll with too many options. Mostly I wanted an easy to interpret up or down vote.

Wonder if Disney will offer rain checks for inclement weather? Can you imagine dropping this kind of money only to have 7DMT, Big Thunder, Splash, and many other outside attractions closed due to weather?

I was SO in.... Until I read the fine print, which stated that Tomorrowland would be domed, to simulate "a thrilling high-speed adventure in space" and you would have to pay extra for portable oxygen tanks.

But......maybe if they throw in that cupcake. Maybe.

Not a chance!!!! I hope that Disney falls flat on its face with this......it's just another attempt to get more money out of its guests that are already paying a lot on a Disney vacation.

Disney enough is enough!!!!

A great big nope from me. $150 is outrageous. I'm all for Disney making a profit but this is getting ridiculous considering EMH were free and E Ride nights were only $12.00 back in the day. Unless they're limiting to about 1000 guests and letting everyone ride e-tickets with 0 wait times then no way.

What really bothers me is having the MK constantly close early to day guests due to these various parties (halloween, Christmas, etc...) September through end of Dec is parties 3-4 nights a week. My next trip was planned in the early summer to avoid limited time at the MK. I like going there in the evenings when it is a tad cooler. I dread the thought of this being a year round thing. My AP expires next fall and I don't think I will be renewing it.

I don't think this new offering is aimed at the typical Dis-er, whatever exactly that is! This seems to be aimed at a younger demographic, with no kids, plenty of disposable income but tight on vacation time. If you fit that description and love Disney like the rest of us, this may be just the ticket (pun intended).
I don't see a problem with this.. Not everyone plans vacations 180 days out, and not everyone goes to Disney for a week +. Some add a day or 2 to their beach vacation to visit, some are Florida residents who just want a last minute 2 night trip. For all of these people it is a great opportunity to be at the park, and not be tripping over/getting run over by strollers all day ;). I definitely do not think Disney is targeting the family with small children with this.
Myself and my son are only doing 3 nights at CR after our 7 night Fantasy cruise..this could be a great option to avoid the high crowds of Christmas season.
Also, I don't think the new morning add on sounds terrible either..just waiting for more details to come out.
I've been to Disney so many times as an adult without kids, or taking niece and nephew when they came to SoFla to visit me..these options are most probably added for people in those, or the short trip, scenarios.

I also think you underestimate the amount of people willing to just throw a purchase like this on a credit card and say "we'll worry about it later!" I'm seeing more and more people willing to just put purchases on credit cards and never have plans to pay them off. I've been told by more than one person before that they'll just make minimum payments on their cards until they die then it's not their problem anymore, even if it affects how much money is left behind to their families. It's pretty sad to see.
I suppose so. We budget for everything and holidays (vacations - I'm from the UK!) are always saved for in advance. I guess not everyone is like me!

nope, no way. I am however on board with Disney charging extra AFTER the park has regularly closed - not closing it early or opening it late. But if they want to close the park officially at 10 pm and let people pay $150 / person to stay until 1 am - fine by me. It's not cutting back on my park hours

I don't object to extra cost in-park experiences. But based on what I've read, I can't see ME getting $150 of value from this. I don't believe for a second that Disney would place a severe limit on the quantity of tickets sold. Even if they did, maybe I'd pay $100 at most. The holiday parties at approximately $70 are a good value IMO.

The same applies to the morning 1.25 hour "exclusive" experience. Can't see getting $69 of value out of it.

At $149, the big selling point of free ice cream and bottled water is more of an insult than a benefit.

No for 2 reasons.

1:I've been so many times I don't need to see any attractions that bad. 2:We never make it to late EMH anyway. We're all so tired.

All these people asking how many people this event is going to be capped at are missing the point I think - the very high price point will in itself act as a cap so it won't be crowded at all. This is aimed at people who have no money limitations - I.e. Only the very elite - just look at the poll results here as an indication.

I wish I was the very elite with no money limitations LOL. I'll be buying these tickets for my dd if one of the events falls when she is in Orlando.
I think these tickets are aimed at the people who don't do WDW commando style for a week. They are great for people with limited time who may not have been going to visit WDW at all but now have an option too. Maybe those people will enjoy it so much they'll decide that they do want to spend a week at WDW for their next vacation.
I think the poll is representative of repeat vacationers who don't see the value of adding $150 to their already purchased tickets.
Put the poll on a general discussion board that isn't full of people who go multiple times a year, or own DVC and you'll get different answers.
This event can appeal to alot of people for alot of different reasons, not just being the very rich.

Depends... If it's only a couple of hundred people, between a dozen or more rides? Yeah, sure, you can get a lot done in 3-4 hours. Plus "free" food, I think that's a fair price. But something tells me that probably isn't the case, so I'll just take my chances with the regular park hours. :p
