Will You Chill Out if I Sprinkle You With Pixie Dust? The End p136 *New TR Link* p138

I know exactly what that feels like. So conflicted. When is the phm? I'm not even sure, but it really sounds cool and I hope everything works out that you can go. Here's keeping my fingers crossed and wishing you much pixie dust!

phm is at the end of February. I am starting to be ok with whatever happens.. pixie dust either way. What ever is meant to be will be. :goodvibes

I am so glad you did not have storm damage. Very cool that you had a safe place to stick it out though!:goodvibes

I thought I posted but do not see it. I am all caught up. The pics with the different colors were odd but enjoyable. :lmao:

Great Update Mary Ellen !!

Had you heard there is a HUGE Dis Meet next year May Ibelieve !! Anyone interested ????

It's in

Gatlinburg:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Great update and really cool pictures Mary Ellen!! They are so - I want to say "artsy" but that's not quite what I mean. They are cool and different, pretty and unique... maybe you get my drift.

I used a filter for most of those pictures. I just wanted to fool around with it a bit. I liked the way it worked for the Daytona pictures, but I'm not so sure about most of these pictures. It was fun to fool around with the camera a bit.

Glad to hear you've survived the storm well. I feel so bad when I see such horrible images from NY/NJ/Conn areas. We of course, are enjoying really nice calm weather stalled here because of the storm, so I feel a bit guilty, and of course, very lucky.

OMG - I was watching the news again tonight and I was so overwhelmed by what's happening in NYC and NJ. OMG - its awful. Very depressing.

What a nice office set up you have - I'd have stayed there too!

I got kicked out of my old office last year. I was originally pretty upset, but this office is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better. If I had a TV and a refrigerator I could live there. :rotfl:

I agree you got some great "artsy" shots. I'll have to try some more of that.

Thanks. That was the filter I was fooling around with. I really haven't used the filter since that trip. I should probably fool around with it a bit more.

WHEW! I don't have anything pink so it wasn't us!!! :sad2:

:rotfl2: I love those pink T shirts, but I can guarantee you that I would never get Denny to put one of those T's on! :lmao:

Thanks for the pic of our State flower and State tree. We like it so much we gave it two honors!

You're welcome! That is pretty funny that its the state flower and the state tree, all in one. Rather convenient I'd say.

Great pics and awesome filter effects. To paraphrase Oliver Twist, "more please".

Thank you! I put the filter away after these shots, but never fear, I still have quite a few more pictures from this trip! Shocked, I know!

So glad you came through the storm safe and sound!

Thank you! We were so blessed to come through the storm unscathed. I am just sick over all the devastation in NJ and NYC.

Your pictures are beautiful! You have such a great eye :thumbsup2

Aww - thank you Dawn. That's such a nice compliment. :goodvibes

The pics of the Yacht and Beach Club make it miss it so! I can't wait to stay there again next year!

Are you staying there again in June? It really is such a nice area area. I love that entire Boardwalk area/BC area. It's such a great, fun place!

Oh Gosh I would have been cracking at the Gaitlinburg remark.:rotfl2:

It struck us both as so funny! Here's grandma trying to take her family on a real outdoors vacation and then her son equates it with Gatlinburg. That is just so wrong. :rotfl:

Great shots of the World. Some truly amazing shots. You really captured the beauty of the area.

Thank you. What a nice compliment. I had fun fooling around with the camera and the filters.

I need to go back and see the films again. It has been a while.

The mug fill situation and BW is unique....

Unique - that is an excellent description. :rotfl2:

Have a Friend on LI - trees down but otherwise OK.

I'm glad your friends made out OK. I really feel for some of those folks in Rockaway and Staten Island. OMG. So sad. :worried:

yay you are back !!! LOL about Gatlinburg. We have to go there next summer for DH's family reunion :faint: I hate it. They stay in a place that isn't very nice and DH always leaves me with the kids while he goes off to do things with his family. I am not really even sure why I even need to be there to be honest. :confused3 And to add insult to injury, I had to reschedule our 2013 Disney Cruise to work around this trip. :furious: Gatlinburg is OK, I guess. I would just rather spend that time at Disney .......

Oh My. That does NOT sound like a fun trip and the fact that you had to reschedule your cruise - that is totally a bummer. We passed through Gatlinburg on our way home from a soccer tournament in Nashville a few years ago. We wanted to see the Smokey Mountains, but little did we know that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg were 500 times more crowded than even the Delaware beaches. Plus it was over the top sensory overload with all the crazy attractions and congestion. So commercial.

Glad to hear Sandy spared you in Delaware!!!

We were so lucky. It just makes me so sad to see all the devastation in NJ and NYC. It's terrible.

Beautiful shots from around World Showcase, Mary Ellen! That picture of Mary Poppins is precious!

I love that Mary Poppins picture, so thank you. I always feel weird about taking pictures of little kids I don't know, but I couldn't help myself. The result turned out so great!

I cracked up over the Gatlinburg remark -- I think I may have even said those exact words before -- it tends to be a popular vacation spot for people around here, but I have no desire to visit -- I am not into crowds, the mountains, or really anything that is offered there. :rotfl:

That place was insane when we drove through it a few years ago. I would love to see it again, but I would have to go back during off season, if there actually IS an off season. That does not look like a fun vacation spot to me. :rotfl:

Glad Sandy didn't do any major damage and that you were in a place that had a comfortable chair!:goodvibes

We are so fortunate to get through the storm as well as we did. I feel very, very fortunate.

Sometimes, those big family groups can say the funniest things. I have no doubt someone's walked by my group of aunts and cousins when I was a kid and began laughing out loud. Sometimes, overhearing other people's conversations can be highly amusing while you're walking around a park. :rotfl:

The whole conversation was so amusing. We weren't really trying to hear it. It all happened so fast and really struck our funny bone. Trying to herd a large group like that through the parks has got to be crazy and I am sure some of their conversations are off the way. :rotfl2:

That conference center at the Boardwalk looks really nice. I love the theming....

It was really pretty. I wouldn't mind going back there for a conference, that's for sure. ;)

Finally had a chance to read your update and look at your wonderful pictures! I really like the B&W one with the lantern and the falls, and the pictures from O! Canada are great. I really love that attraction. I hope you didn't get yelled at like you did at Soarin!

Your story about the family was hilarious and I was very amused by the mileage you and Denny got out of it for the rest of your trip.

What a nice opportunity to play around with your camera and the filters.

So happy you're all safe and sound!

Anytime you decide to take that trip to Canada, we have a spare bedroom and it's your's for the taking!!! Just let me know;)

/
I guess if you have to sleep in the office, you could do much worse! Glad you guys made it through unscathed.

It really could have been a lot worse. I was so worried that the storm was going to be terrible near us and I wasn't going to get out of my driveway because of flooding. I could have driven back and forth, but I'm glad I decided to stay.

:lmao: I definitely see the humor in this.

Also, I continue to be amazed at people who travel to the most popular destination in the world in Florida and are surprised that it's hot and crowded. :confused3

Yeah, right. I guess people go into denial until they get there. The whole Gatlinburg conversation was just too funny to us.

Don't you love it when you get a good private joke going? :thumbsup2

Yup, especially when no one knows what the heck you are laughing at. Seriously, we could not let it go.

I like this one. :thumbsup2

Thanks. I do too.

I dunno, they look kinda purple to me. :rotfl2:

Yeah - a filter will do that. :rotfl:

Nice pictures!

Thank you!

Great updates, MaryEllen.

Thanks. So glad you enjoyed them!

I've been to Gatlinburg, so that who story just cracked me up. :lmao::lmao:

I wonder if people looked at you oddly as you and Denny enjoyed your private joke during the trip? ;)

I guess you have to have experience Gatlinsburg to get the humor in the situation. Yes, I'm sure we got a few funny looks as we were cracking ourselves up. :rotfl:

I love the pictures, as always, and enjoyed the ones where you played with the shutter speed and the filters as well.

Thank you! It was quite the day for experimentation. :rotfl:

Happy Halloween

Halloween-Tigger.jpg

This is SO cute. Thanks for posting it.

I loved the "Gatlinburg story". That's so something that we would have kept talking about as well. Oh and your comment on it being crowded, I agree 100%. We went last Thanksgiving it and it wall to wall people and traffic. :faint:

I can't imagine how crowded it must be at Thanksgiving. It's sad there are more vacations spots in the general area. I mean - I'm sure its a lovely area but how do you see it through all the crowds? I would find the traffic most annoying.

I'm loving all of the different pictures that you took! So very cool!

Thank you! :goodvibes

Stopped for a quick bit in between running some errands, but I wanted to wish you a

Happy Halloween !!!

Halloween.jpg

And a very Happy Boo-thday to Denny!

I love this! SO cute! Thank you!

That is so funny! I can absolutely see that becoming a line for your trip.

Not that I've ever been to Gaitlinburg...or have any desire to go there.

:rotfl:

It was almost the title of this TR, but it would take up took much space and isn't quite as powerful without the expletive. :rotfl:

I would love to actually explore the Smokey mountains, the problem is you have to go through Pigeon Forge and Gaitlinburg to get there. :faint:

Poor Grandma. Ungrateful wretches, the lot of them!

:rotfl2: My sentiments exactly.

aww, thanks! She really does. I just adore the way she gets down with the kids, there is something magical about it.

There really is. So is so sweet. Little kids must love her.

me too! And I have to say...our stay there has become a MAJOR factor in our upcoming plans. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Which, shockingly, are actually almost all the way agreed upon all around! Don't want to jinx it with the ticker yet though.

Well, that is awesome news. And definitely don't jinx it yet until its all worked out. Sounds like too good of a trip to jinx.

I still haven't seen the movie in Canada. Somehow I don't see it happening unless Jeff and I stroll the WS without kids and I con him into it (which actually wouldn't be hard).

Someday.

Yes - someday. Your boys are almost old enough to go out on their own. It's great once you start setting them free to do their own thing. I love that.

So glad you escaped unscathed, it seems everyone has reported in ok other than power still out for some but UGH what a mess.

The pictures I have seen of the Jersey shore and NYC are unbelievable. What a disaster. It's really so sad.

Hung my soccer charm in the car, as of last night we are officially moving on to state. Saturdays game will determine in what seed but we are moving on! Fingers crossed, the last 2 games have been SLOPPY!

:cool1: I hope your game today goes really well. That's awesome news. Nick had his last game today and it was another lost. It was the worst season I have seen since Brian started playing JV in 8th grade. That's 7 years of high school soccer. So sad to see it end on such a bad note. Oh well. ... and I still have hundreds of pictures to edit with no motivation to do so.

I was so worried about you! Monday at work I was reading on twitter all about the crazy damage caused by Sandy and I was hoping you were safe, glad to hear all is well!

Thank you! Our state really made out so well with this storm. It's the poor people along the coast in NJ and various parts of NY that made out so poorly. I feel so bad for the people who still don't have power now that it is so cold. The pictures I saw yesterday were so devastating.

Huh! Well then a job well done on the Canadian tourism people's part! Come visit me, MEK! I'll show you around the far East :thumbsup2 :goodvibes I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Love all the pictures around the resort, so gorgeous!

It's an awesome film and there is definitely so much of Canada that I want to see. Ever since I was a little girl I was fascinated by the Bay of Fundy. I will get there one of these days.

Happy Hallowe'en, Mary Ellen!

Thank you! I spent a nice quiet evening at home while Denny and the two boys went to a Sixers basketball game.

Glad you made it through the hurricane with no damage or power outages! I think Jersey and NY got it the worst, but CT is pretty awful too, we were really lucky! :goodvibes

Haha, loved the Gaitlinburg story! Brandon and I always hear other people's comments in Disney and repeat them throughout our visit, sometimes you hear the weirdest stuff there! :rotfl2:

I always want to go to Canada after seeing that movie too! Someday, when I'm bored with Disney we'll go there!

Love the pics with all the filters! And the Boardwalk looks so amazing...I keep saying my next deluxe will be AKL but I really would love to stay at the Boardwalk too! :cool1:

Great pictures as usual, MEK. Glad you captured the bird poop picture, that's some serious trip reporting.

I want to make sure my readers have the "entire" experience. :rotfl2:

I've never been to $*&# Gatlinburg. And now I'm not sure that I'll ever want to. :rotfl:

Trust me, you don't. :rotfl: Actually, its a cute little town but way too crowded. You can't get to the mountains through all the traffic.

I went to school about an hour from Gatlinburg so I REALLY don't want to go to no d%&* Gatlinburg! :lmao:

Really? :rotfl2: Then you know all about Gatlinburg. Where did you go to school?

That Brave sand sculpture is AMAZING. Wow. Too bad they took that down so soon.

They are really cool, aren't they? Were they only there for the summer?

I've really been wanting to stay at the Boardwalk lately so I'm loving these pictures! :goodvibes

I just stayed at the BWV a second time and I am now a true fan. It is such a great place to stay. Perfect location and so many wonderful details.

That Gatlinburg story was a riot! I find myself laughing a lot at things I overhear at the World. The worst thing is no one else hears the same things. I'm glad you and Denny both were a party to the craziness! Ungrateful wretches indeed! :lmao:

It just struck as as so funny and I agree - they were ungrateful wretches complaining about the heat and asking to go to Gatlinburg. :lmao:

I had the same thought as Glen about the excrement. Well done Mary Ellen :rotfl:

Always looking out for the readers!

In all seriousness, gorgeous pictures. You captured some beautiful scenes. I'm loving the look inside the BW. I have never been inside before. It's definitely on the list for December.

Thank you. And the Boardwalk is really pretty. The lobby is amazing and wait until you see the quiet pool on the inn side. It is so cool over there. Really fun place. I look forward to staying there again soon, I hope.

First off, glad that things are ok with you & your office sounds like a good place to ride out the storm!

Thank you. I feel that we were so fortunate to get through the storm as well as we did. I am so grateful for our good fortune.

With the filters your photos have a sort of overexposed Kodachrome look ot them. If you look at some old slide you'll see what I mean.:rolleyes1

It's definitely a surreal look to the photos. It definitely works for some of the shots and not so much for some of the others. I'm glad I tried out the filters. It was fun.

Mary Ellen.... so happy for you that you made it safely through the storm......That chair does sound rather awesome...:thumbsup2

I LOVE that chair. I couldn't believe the patient gave it to us all because of redecorating. I assure you, I would have found a spot for that recliner in my house. It's awesome. I am very grateful we didn't even lose our power. Did you lose power at all. My parents live in Ambler and their power was out until Thursday morning. Yikes.

Gorgeous World Showcase Photos...:goodvibes

Thank you!

Hmmm... Just had to look up Gatlinburg...Wow... lots of stuff there... trying to figure out a Northeaster equivalent...

I don't think there IS a North East equivalent. We have so many vacation spots around here. We are very lucky. As soon as I got stuck in that traffic I realized that people in that part of the country were seriously lacking in vacation destinations.

Oh wow... you do hear a wide variety of things at Disney don't you?

The killer is that the language came out of the matriarch... bet she's one tough cookie...;)

I liked her. Despite our private joke, I admire someone who organizes a trip for a group that big and clearly she had a big financial stake in it.

Sounds like y'all were having a nice, relaxed day! The story about the southern family is funny! :rotfl: Y'all really had a pretty view from the room.

We got such a laugh out of the Gatlinburg family. It was cute. We didn't mean to eavesdrop, just couldn't help it.

That was a standard view villa and for the points it was totally worth it. But when you see the pool view room that I had on my last trip. It was an amazing view.

I was laughing at your Gatlinburg story and I don't even know anything about Gatlinburg (except that its in TN, right? :confused3). Families can be so funny when you get everyone together!

Yes - its in Tennessee. Denny, Nick, and I stopped there a couple summers ago when we drove out to Nashville to see our older son play in a soccer tournament there. We decided we wanted to see the Smokey Mountains. We had NO idea how commercial the area was.

You took some really amazing shots of WS and the Boardwalk, I especially like the ones of the waterfall in Canada. I really wanted to get back there on this last trip, because I thought that DS would think it was cool, but it just never happened. I'll just have to show him your pictures instead!

Thanks so much. I'm so glad you liked the pictures. I love the water fall over in Canada. It's a little off the beaten track and its nice and quiet back there, even when the park is crowded.

There is a (very, very) small amusement park in my area that still has a diving horse show, I have never seen it live however. In videos, it honestly looks like the horse is jumping in of his own accord :)

http://www.thedivinghorse.com/about-horse-diving.html

Thanks for sharing that. I thought the same thing when I watched the youtube videos of the Steel Pier. The horse dove without any trepidation. I can remember seeing that and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. I think its neat that there is still a place where you can see horses dive. Very cool.

phm is at the end of February. I am starting to be ok with whatever happens.. pixie dust either way. What ever is meant to be will be. :goodvibes

Good to know. I think the end of Feb would be a fun time to visit. I really hope it works out for you and if you can't run this year, then you definitely have to run last year. :thumbsup2

I am so glad you did not have storm damage. Very cool that you had a safe place to stick it out though!:goodvibes

Thanks. We were so lucky to have escaped the storm's wrath. I was so upset last night when I really had time to look at all the coverage from NJ and NY. So sad. My office worked out great. Who knows, I might get snowed in there this winter and have to stay over again.

I thought I posted but do not see it. I am all caught up. The pics with the different colors were odd but enjoyable. :lmao:

Odd but enjoyable :rotfl2: Thanks, I think! Kidding. The filter definitely did change the quality of the pictures quite a bit. It was really fun to experiment with the filters.

Great Update Mary Ellen !!

Had you heard there is a HUGE Dis Meet next year May Ibelieve !! Anyone interested ????

It's in

Gatlinburg:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

OMG Rosie! This totally cracked me up because I thought you were serious until I read GATLINBURG! Insert scary music here. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Finally had a chance to read your update and look at your wonderful pictures! I really like the B&W one with the lantern and the falls, and the pictures from O! Canada are great. I really love that attraction. I hope you didn't get yelled at like you did at Soarin!

Thanks. I do like that black and white picture a lot. I think its the way the drops of water look. I used my cell for the O Canada pictures. I love that movie, too. It's such a great movie and it always makes me want to pack for Canada right then and there.

Your story about the family was hilarious and I was very amused by the mileage you and Denny got out of it for the rest of your trip.

We did get a lot of mileage out of that story. I almost used it as the title for this TR, but decided against it.

What a nice opportunity to play around with your camera and the filters.

I had some fun with those filters. I definitely need to try them again one of these days. The problem is my distance lens is cracked so its hard to keep the filter in place.

So happy you're all safe and sound!

Thank you. I feel so fortunate that we came through the storm without any problems. We were very, very lucky!

Anytime you decide to take that trip to Canada, we have a spare bedroom and it's your's for the taking!!! Just let me know;)

Thank you for the offer. You better believe that if I ever make it to Winnipeg I will definitely let you know. I think Canada looks like such an amazing, diverse country and I have spent far too little time there. I need to start planning that trip.

Glad you made it through the hurricane with no damage or power outages! I think Jersey and NY got it the worst, but CT is pretty awful too, we were really lucky! :goodvibes

Thanks. We were extremely fortunate. Ugh - I saw those pictures from NY and NJ last night and it was absolutely devastating. It really made me so sad. I heard that Bridgeport CT got hit pretty hard, too.

Haha, loved the Gaitlinburg story! Brandon and I always hear other people's comments in Disney and repeat them throughout our visit, sometimes you hear the weirdest stuff there! :rotfl2:

It's really not like Denny and I to go around laughing at people. Well, maybe me a little, but never Denny. That's what made it even funnier, because he kept bringing it up. :rotfl:

I always want to go to Canada after seeing that movie too! Someday, when I'm bored with Disney we'll go there!

I would love to do the cruise up to Canada, but then I remind myself that I could just drive there and you can really just drive there. CT is a great location for a drive to Canada. Heck, you could make it a long weekend.

Love the pics with all the filters! And the Boardwalk looks so amazing...I keep saying my next deluxe will be AKL but I really would love to stay at the Boardwalk too! :cool1:

Thanks. Fooling around with the filters was fun.

I loved staying at the Boardwalk. I usually want to keep trying new resorts, but I think the Boardwalk is a place I could keep going back to over and over. I really wanted to add on there, but I found the VWL contract first so that's how that happened. I do like that it's a big enough resort that I always have a chance of getting a villa there.

I know what you mean about using the filters. When I got all these different filters for my 35mm SLR I was doing all sorts of artsy fartsy things. I hate having all of that expensive equipment going to waste. No one is buying & no one sells film anymore.

You need to go to Gatlinburg in the spring or early fall season, not many people. I love it there, but hate the shows & other crap. The mountains are not that crowded if you know when to go.

That is such a shame for it to go to waste. Do you think film will ever come back? There must be some purests out there who still want to develop their own film. Are any of your lens interchangeable if you were to buy a DSLR. How great would that be only having to buy the body but using your same lens.

So when in early fall is the time to go? How is it in September? Or is it better to wait to October. I know there has to be a window in there sometime.

I'm glad to hear that you didn't get hit too hard in Sandy!!!!

:rotfl: Sometimes the things you overhear in Disney are hilarious!!!

It was cool to see your pictures from the Boardwalk Conference Center...one of the best parts of our trip took place there!!! :goodvibes

It is a Canon, so I have thought about them being used on the digital camers.

If you go through the week in late August & after Labor Day in Sept. The weekends are usually pretty crowded. Late October is good also if you go through the week. The leaves are turning colors & the weather is usually pleasant. March through May is also a good slow time with cheaper rates.

I am caught up!!! WHEW!!!!!! :goodvibes

Your pics are making me homesick...sigh.

I never knew that about the diving horses! Not sure how I feel about making a horse dive, but how very cool about the chandelier! Thanks for throwing that tidbit in there.

It was lovely meeting you!!! Next time I'll bring the red head. :upsidedow

I'm glad to hear that you didn't get hit too hard in Sandy!!!!

OMG - I just posted the same thing on your TR. Great minds and all that......:rotfl2:

:rotfl: Sometimes the things you overhear in Disney are hilarious!!!

I always hear comical things and things that are said with such authority that make absolutely no sense. The whole Gatlinburg thing totally cracked me up.

It was cool to see your pictures from the Boardwalk Conference Center...one of the best parts of our trip took place there!!! :goodvibes

Really? I can't wait to hear about that. I can't wait to hear about your wedding plans, well at least those that you are going to reveal. It must be SO fun to plan a Disney wedding.

I loved the Boardwalk. I loved it in June. I loved it more in October. Can't wait to go back.

I'm thinking September midweek sounds good or early October. Thanks for the recommendation. I would really like to go back there during off season. I want to explore the mountains some more.

And you really should look into a Canon DSLR body for your lens. I know you can get the bodies on ebay and probably directly through canon.

I am caught up!!! WHEW!!!!!! :goodvibes

I'm impressed, considering how busy you have been with hurricane relief. I am very impressed at your dedication and will be pm'ing you this week because I want to put together a box of clothes and stuff to mail you at the end of the week.

Your pics are making me homesick...sigh.

Tell me about it. :rotfl: I already can't wait to go back.

I never knew that about the diving horses! Not sure how I feel about making a horse dive, but how very cool about the chandelier! Thanks for throwing that tidbit in there.

Just showing my age. :rotfl: But seriously, I remember being fascinated by the horse dive. I only saw it once as a child, but it was very memorable. I love the Boardwalk. I know you are a fan, too. It's a great resort.

It was lovely meeting you!!! Next time I'll bring the red head. :upsidedow

Ditto! So glad you were able to make the meet and I really DO hope I get to meet that little redhead before he's not so little anymore.

Table for Two

Honestly, I am not even sure if I am going to make it to dinner because I probably took a hundred pictures between pool time and dinner.

But let's see, shall we?

Denny and I spent a hassle free morning in Epcot. I rode Soarin and LWTL. We ate breakfast and waited to get return FPs for Soarin. And finally we visited Canada and said hello to Martin Short. When we returned to our subterranean villa, as we so lovingly called it, I headed over to the Business Center to Fedex home my new guitar. I'm actually sorry I didn't take a picture of it all packaged up. The girl spent at least 20 minutes bubble wrapping it and incasing it in card board. Final cost $28. Not bad for a free guitar.

Now it was time to do something that we do best......No not THAT.....get your minds out of the gutter. :rolleyes1

It was time to be lazy and hang out at the villa pool.

Now here is where I want to make my one rant about the Boardwalk. As you may recall, we purchased mugs with our meal plan at the treehouse villas. Now I needed some diet coke to mix with my rum and there are no refill stations at the Boardwalk. You either have to go to the Boardwalk Bakery or you have to ask the bartender at Leaping Libations to fill it for you. I hate doing that because I feel like such a bother.

Oh well, drinks mixed we headed to the villa pool to chill.

The view from where I sat

Untitled by dvcmek1, on Flickr

It looked cloudy, but it was so warm out that those clouds meant nothing. The pool actually felt like bath water. Well, almost.

The view to my right

Untitled by dvcmek1, on Flickr

You can see that I was also partially shaded by a tree

Untitled by dvcmek1, on Flickr

Serious Cloud, but it never rained

Untitled by dvcmek1, on Flickr

We lounged for quite awhile. Considering we never really ate lunch, I was surprised we never got hungry. Instead, we read, we swam, we drank, and we explored the community center. We even rented a couple movies for later that night.

When it was getting close to FP time I realized we really needed to hightail it to the shower and get ready for dinner and FAST. I really didn't want to miss our return time, which ended at 5:15.

We arrived to redeem our FPs with one minute to spare. Nothing like cutting it a little close.

Soarin was great, as always.

On our way into the World Showcase, after Soarin, we noticed that Duffy was out entertaining the children

Sorry for all the ceiling shots. It's just so beautiful to admire.

On my bucket list was my desire to watch the China movie. And, of course, I had to take pictures with my phone

I'll admit that most of my China movie pictures are terrible, so I will spare you.

I really did enjoy the film, but now I was starting to think more about food than beautiful scenery. We still needed to get to France for our ADR which was about a half hour away.

We stopped in Japan to see the Pearl girls. I love these girls. I wish I had this job. It just looks so fun.

IMG_4882.jpg

Ah...Let's see.....pick me a big pearl. At least 8mm please!

Hey, wait, that's not a pearl!

Denny: I ain't going to no d@^^n Gatlinburg......uhm...wait....What did you say?

We arrived at our final destination a few minutes early. Our table for two was at the Bistro de Paris.

We waited for a few minutes in the downstairs lobby.

We were seated at a table for two right at the window.
