Laughing and Mark is looking at me like I've truly lost it.
I'm glad you got a chuckle out of that. Let's just say by the end of the night I was so flustered I couldn't do anything right. My head was spinning.

Shanlubey! Thanks for joining in the fun. I will post again mid week so stay tuned!
I've caught up on your other trip reports and I should have waited for this one to be further along before starting because I am quite impatient. I love your writing style!
So nice to know you are a regular reading. Thanks so much for stopping in to say "Hi". I'm glad you are enjoying my TRs. Thanks for the compliment!
I don't know about you, but the thought of being on a train for 24+ hours sounds a hundred times worse than the 0.0000001% chance of something happening while on an airplane!
I could not agree more. I had actually considered the train for a possible future trip (a long one) when we might want our own car, but I definitely think driving would be better for me. And I hate to drive. Being stuck in a train - not my idea of fun!
I am so sleeping in a treehouse! Love love love the pics and it looks like you really had a killer location! Love the view from the LR and actually love the one from the master even more. Sigh.
We had an excellent location. I did not see another that I would have preferred. So glad it worked out that way. I seem to do better when I don't request a specific location. It was perfect - close to the water, the pool, the walkway to SSR, and the extra parking space which we took over during our stay!
I'm glad you have made up your mind on the treehouse. It was a pretty cool experience and one we probably won't repeat until we have grandkids. *shudder*
I will be very interested to see how the QSP worked out for you, especially since I just nixed it!
LOL
If you eat at the right places and pick the right meals I think it can be cost effective. For example, if you had dinner most nights at WPE in DTD it would totally be worth it. But if you stick to park counter service, not so much.
Wow...that villa is awesome. I'm a no flash user as well. Do you use photoshop at all? I can lighten up some pictures a bit with that and then if it looks noisy I can also get rid of "some" of it through there....but then some are just unfixable. But a lot of times a flash is just too harsh I actually have one of the attachment flashes...but I can never get the hang of it very well.
Glad you like the villa. It was pretty awesome!
I am embarrased to admit that I do have photoshop on my computer but I don't know how to use it and I get frustrated everytime I try. I need a class. I use the iphoto editing on my mac. That definitely improves the lighting and, since I generally have good success with it, I rushed through the photos without brining in more natural light. I wish I could have a do-over.
I agree - a flash makes everything too harsh. I hate the look of it.
The treehouse is very cool -- I had never seen pictures of the inside before. I agree, though, the no locks would make me so nervous with that many people staying there. I wonder why Disney decided not to do locks...
The treehouse is pretty cool. So glad we got a chance to stay there. As far as the locks - I really think it was so kids couldn't lock themselves in. I know that can happen everywhere, but maybe they thought these villas were particularly high risk. I don't know, but I think they need to leave around more "Do Not Disturb" Signs or maybe caution tape!
Yeay for the rest of your family arriving and pool time! Great start!
So glad they arrived and they really did perk with with the pool time. It worked out great because the treehouse pool was down the next day!
Wonderful update! Love the treehouse. I might just go even if I dont have enough people. It is just so lovely

I loved seeing all the SSR pictures, we really enjoyed our trip there last year.
Thanks Pam. Well, now that you are officially a point czar you could definitely build a treehouse stay into your future plans. I would love to be there in the cooler, less crowded weather. It would be really a nice time to visit.
I was happy to be back on SSR soil. I have been on a mission for so long to try all the other more "desirable" resorts, but SSR is really home to me. I know its further from the parks, but its just such a lovely place with so much to look at.
That flatbread looked delicious!
It was. I wish I had one right now!
The treehouses look fantastic! They seem so spacious & very well done. I would love to stay in one of them one day. But, since there's only 3 of us, it's feels like a waste of space.
The treehouse was a wonderful experience and I definitely recommend it. I think it probably is too big for just 3 people, but if you ever had a second family with you its a no brainer.
Your lunch looks really good, too!
The flatbreads at AP were pretty yummy and its a nice atmosphere, so I was pretty happy with our first lunch!
Seems like a fun afternoon of swimming! Can't wait to see if y'all get to MK or not. And when the 1st meltdown happens!
Everyone really enjoyed the pool. Well, everyone but my brother who stayed in the villa to try to take a nap. Apparently he did not sleep much on the train and I believe that lead to the future meltdown.
I am loving all of the pics of the Tree house! Thank you for sharing!
Can't wait for the rest!
Lisa

ChefDisneyLu Lisa! Thanks for joining in. So glad you are enjoying the treehouse pics and the TR so far.
PS I also annoy my brother! But to my understanding, being a sister means that is our job...right?
You know - I think you have something there. A little sibling rivalry is a good thing, right?

However, ours went a bit beyond that a couple times on this trip. Oh well. It all ended well!
The kids all look really tired when they arrived
They looked tired and pale like they had been in that train for more than a day. Fortunately, they perked up quick enough.
