Will You Chill Out if I Sprinkle You With Pixie Dust? The End p136 *New TR Link* p138

As always, enjoy reading your updates! 1 month to go and getting so excited!

I'm not a thrill ride person at all (very bad motion sickness) but I'm hoping to try RnR. My cousin told me if I can do any rollercoaster I should be good on that one!

You're certainly helping fuel my obsession prior to my trip! :cool1:

/
Still braver than me! :lmao: That's good that the guide can tow y'all in if needed! That would maybe make me feel better. I'm just not one for water activities. I almost drowned on 2 different occasions as a child so I have preferred land activities all my life. :rotfl:

If you almost drowned, then I can definitely understand a fear of water. I would be petrified, too. The kayaking went really well. I totally enjoyed it. Very safe. We were in very shallow water. I will post a few pics when I get my replies done.

So true! Hopefully, once he gets back to school I can do some practicing. He'll only be in for a few weeks though before we leave. And even then, it's only half days since it's PreK4. But, I can maybe go somewhere for an hour or two to practice. I think I read where you said you'd like to do a course one day. I did a course at the local university last fall. I went in to it understanding a little bit about the manual settings. But, that course really did help me do better with switching everything up on my own. I'm no professional by any means. And I still need to work on my "eye" sometimes for the perfect shot. But, I was definitely glad I did it!

That will work out perfect for you. You can drop him off, go takes some pics, and then return in plenty of time to pick him up. Especially with fall coming. that's an excellent time to take pictures!

Have a great week at the shore!!!! :cool2:

:rotfl: We had a lovely time "down the shore". Oops - I mean beach!!!!!!:rolleyes1

Awww the GMR!!! I think the movie montage is my favorite part too!

Definitely the best part. It stirs up so many old memories and I love seeing new clips added. Its so fun!

That's too funny about your SIL going FP crazy! I guess she was excited about figuring out the machine! :thumbsup2 Hopefully you were still able to ride Star Tours though!

She was so pleased with herself. When I was done being irritated, it really was sort of cute. And, yes, we got to ride Star Tours! :thumbsup2

Have a great time at the beach! Here in Ohio it's the beach!

Well, yeah for Ohio! Glad to hear that they got it right. :rotfl: Seriously, I grew up in PA and called it shore forever. Then when I moved to Delaware I had to get used to beach pretty darn quick.

TSM is fun, but I don't get all the frenzy to ride it!

I think people who love games love it and families love it because its something an entire family can do together. I like it, but I don't like waiting for it.

Most of my movie favs are shown which I love!

It's really a great selection of movies. I totally agree.

I don't know if you have, but I just got the free Dis App. It's great & even shows the photos! I'll be able to keep up when on vacation!

I need to download that. It could come in handy at work. :rolleyes1 Kidding!

Your getaway sounds fun! Enjoy :)

Thanks! We had a really nice time at the beach. It was crowded, but our house was bayside and that really added to the relaxation factor. I ate, drank, read, and exercised - in that order! :thumbsup2

You got some really great pictures from the GMR!! I love that attraction, it's a must do for me every trip :goodvibes

Thanks. I am so pleased with the way the pictures turned out and I really enjoyed the attraction this time. I think skipping it for awhile rekindled my interest.

I totally agree with you on the CS options at DHS - not good! I almost always make a lunch ADR for Sci-Fi for burgers and milkshakes :thumbsup2 I keep meaning to try Staring Rolls, but I enjoy getting out of the heat and cooling off, and since the seating at Staring Rolls is all outside I've never been able to talk myself into eating there.

I really need to get to Sci-Fi and try their burgers. I canceled my ADR there in December and regretted it. I guess I didn't want a "long" lunch, but it probably would have only been about 15 mins longer than CS. Plus, I have been dying to try one of those milk shakes.

I think it's cute that your SIL was so excited about the FPs, but understand completely why you were bummed that she kept you from getting your Star Tours FP. I hope you still got to ride!

We did get to ride and getting the TSM actually worked out well for later than evening, as you'll see. At the time though, I was just stunned that she did that. :rotfl:

Have fun at the beach (that's what we call down here in the South). :goodvibes

Well, I said this before and I'll say it again - I always KNEW I was a southern girl at heart! Now if I could just find a way to mover there. :lmao:

That CM was our gangster on our GMR, too! She was very good at her role.

She's pretty unforgettable, isn't she? Despite her small size, she did a great job.

Oh, no, about the TSM FPs -- yeah, I would have been yelling, "Stop!" too.

I was thinking - does she know she is committing us all to coming back here tonight? In fact, I said that right out loud. It is comical now, but at the time I was like - GRRRRRR!

Since we're smack dab in the middle of the prairie's we go to the lake:lmao: Sounds like you're going to have a great week...enjoy!

:rotfl2: The lake - good answer! Nothing wrong with that and NO sand. Woo Hoo!

We had a really nice week! I'm glad we went. It was mostly very relaxing. Not Disney, but a nice change of pace.

My sister and her family are in WDW right now and looking at your pics made me feel like I was right there too! GMR is still a fav of mine...I guess it just holds great memories!

I hope they had a great time. It must have been hard for you not to go this August, but I know you had a fab trip in May and you are probably already plotting your return. Glad you like the pics.

I'm with you on TSM...I find we waste so much precious time waiting to do that ride and yes it's fun, but not a must do for Shanleigh and I!

That's how it is if its just Denny and I. We can skip or ride it if the wait time is short. I have found myself getting more competitive with it. It was almost fun to blow away my 8 year old nephew. :rotfl: And that;s just wrong.

Hi guys!

It's taken me a lot longer to get back to DISing than I thought. I finished reading the Girl with the Dragon tatoo at the beach. I had to order a new copy since I left my other one at the BWV. Anyway - I have about 50 pages to go and I really want to get it done.

We are going to tour the University of Maryland today with Nick. And then its back to work tomorrow. Boo!

Be back later tonight with more replies.

Have a great time at the beach!

Thanks. It was a really fun week! :flower3:

Great update!! I guess I'm one of the few people that actually love The Great Movie Ride. I could do it all day, but DH and DS disagree!! LOL!!

:rotfl: I guess if you ever need to get away from them you can go hide in the GMR. I'm sure they won't come looking!

We haven't been to DHS since TSM went in. So, I'm looking forward to trying it. I think little kids have better accuracy since they play video games all the time. LOL!!

Really? Then you and your family will probably really love it. It really is different from anything else at HS or in any of the parks, for that matter. Hope you really enjoy it.

Have fun on your week-long getaway!

Thanks. We had a great time. I really enjoyed it. It was fun to just relax and read.

The movie montage at the end GMR is the best part of the attraction, in my opinion. I always try to see if there's any films shown that I haven't noticed before.

That's my favorite part too. It moves so fast, but the way it all lines up is great. I like to look for new movies, too. I didn't notice any this time because I was too busy trying to decide when to take a picture.

60% accuracy is amazing! I don't think I've ever gotten above 35%.:thumbsup2 Way to go, Josh!

That is pretty cool, isn't it? His score was low, but it showed that he was really concentrating. I like that.

Hmm, that's a bummer that you couldn't get Star Tour FPs. Kind of scrambled up your plans, a bit, but I guess that's the chance you take when you go with people that are unfamiliar with WDW. Sometimes, things like that happen.:confused3

I was pretty disappointed at first because I really wanted to ride Star Tours right after lunch with no wait. As it turned out, going back later to ride TSM worked out pretty well.

Great GMR pics! We got the cowboy scene a couple of years ago, and the girl wasn't too great at her role, so I was pretty disappointed. But it was still cool to get something different than the usual.

So glad you enjoyed the pictures. I agree that a good CM can really make the ride so much better. The first time I did that ride I had the best CM ever. It's been all down hill from there. :rotfl:

That's kind of funny about the TSM FP's. Your poor SIL she was probably thinking how excited everyone would be to ride TSM again without realizing you'd now be waiting 2 hours for another FP! Hope y'all were able to get onto ST without much of a wait even without FPs.

I know - she thought she was doing the right thing. Once I recovered from the shock I told her not to worry about it. Actually, she didn't seem too concerned that she screwed up. In the end, it all worked out fine.

Have fun at the beach!

Thanks. We had a great week. Going back to work tomorrow - yuck!

The first time we were at Disney we got the cowboy scene (or should I say cowgirl). it was only afterward that I found out we had the rare scene! Our cowgirl was great! Enjoy your beach vacation- I am from PA and we call it beach! Then again I am from Western PA!

:rotfl: I thought EVERYONE is PA called it the shore. Now I know there is a difference between eastern and western PA. Good to know! We had a great time. It was very fun!

Wow - cowgirl/boy on the first ride. That's pretty cool. I really like that sequence and would love to see it again.

Have fun at the beach!

Thanks. We had a great time. It was a fun week! :)

I LOVE the GMR! For me it never gets old because I love the concept of going into the movies. Also, I find it helps to look at all the small details within it. There are quite a few hidden Mickeys, as well just well done props and things like that.

I would love to be able to pick our the hidden Mickeys. I am so bad at that. Looking for hidden stuff really does add a great dimension to the ride.

Whenever you go on it again, try requesting the cowboy from a CM. This has worked for us in the past and we got a seat right in the front!

I have heard this and I think if we had more time I would have. I will definitely try this trick in the future. I would love to know how they plan which sequence is seen when.

Looking forward to more as always! :goodvibes

Thanks. I was really hoping to update over the weekend, but it just didn't happen. Hopefully sometime this week.

Have fun at the Beach (that's what we say)!

Woo Hoo! Another vote for "the beach". :thumbsup2

I love the GMR. My favorite part is the movie scenes at the end. But I do wish they would change them up every couple of years. We've had the cowboy before but it was a long time ago. You really got some great shots in there. My pictures are always blurry.

I really enjoy the movie montage. It's very fun to follow along with. I am going to ask for the cowboy next time. Glad you like the pics.

Sounds like everyone enjoyed their ride on TSMM. I would imagine that the boys said they wanted to ride again as soon as they got of so you SIL went with that. I also think the boys would have liked Star Tours too.

You're probably right. They may have asked to ride again and most of them had already ridden Star Tours. It was only the four of us that hadn't. It all worked out just fine in the end.

Looking forward to more when you get back.

I was hoping to have another update down, but I really have become a slacker. :sad2:

We say "The beach" here in Cape Breton, for what it's worth! :thumbsup2

Another vote for the "beach". It must just be those Jersey and Southern PA people who call it the "shore". :rotfl:

I hope you enjoy your vacation! Leave the computer at home, get away from it all. Sounds wonderful! :beach: Take lots of pictures and tell us all about it when you get home.

I didn't take lots of pics, but I did take some. I got lazy and used my phone a lot more than my camera. I did have a great time and I finished my book. I'm very proud of that since I don't read much anymore.

Wonderful pictures of the GMR! I enjoy that ride, but I definitely couldn't do it over and over. Never have gotten the cowboy scene! Some day I hope to!

Well, you heard it here - apparently you can request it. You just have to wait a bit longer. So go for it.

Wow, Josh's accuracy in TSM is awesome! I don't do very well on that ride, but I have fun. I don't really get the hype either. I mean, I like the ride, I like to ride it at least once if not twice each trip, but I wouldn't really want to tie up my FPs for a second ride either.

Josh must have really been concentrating. I didn't really notice because I was trying so hard. I got super focused and couldn't tell how he was doing. He loved it.

Although I had to giggle at the thought of your SIL getting so excited about using the FP machines!

She must have flown back to that FP machine because I never saw her until it was way too late. It is kind-of funny now, but at the time - GRRRR!

Great update, and again, have fun at the beach!

Thanks! :flower3:

Have a great week at the beach! I spent my childhood growing up in Vermont and going to spend the summer with my Grandparents in Mass "at the beach" also. Somehow I didn't notice before now that you live in DE, my hubby and I spent several years living in Dover while he was still active duty Air Force (before he retired). I loved living in Delaware. Good luck Kayaking!

We had a wonderful time at the beach and kayaking was so fun. I loved it.

Good to know that Mass calls it "the beach" too. :thumbsup2

So you used to live in Dover - well then you were definitely practically my neighbor because I live 30 minutes north of there.

I love your SSR pics! What a beautiful resort!

Thanks and yes, it really is a beautiful resort.

OH MY GOSH! Your high school experience sounds awful!! I hope that worker was fired. Good grief. How awesome that you are able to conquer your fears now! That's really impressive.

You forget that I grew up during a time where people could do that kind of stuff and get away with it. It was perfectly acceptable behavior. Heck, when I was in middle school I remember a boy sitting behind me in science class stuck one of those big thermometers down the back of my pants when I was leaning over. When I reported it to the teacher, he just told me to go sit down. What, are you kidding me???? :faint:

For being not so great at TSM, your score is better than my best ever! I've only ever ridden four times but STILL.

That was definitely my best to date. I must have been having a "moment". :rotfl:

I hope I didn't miss your send-off. Have a fantastic, relaxing time at the coast! (The beach works for New Englanders, too)

Coast? - I like that. So geographical! :rotfl: Much better than "the shore".

Your pictures from GMR are just incredible! The best I have seen. I love the close up on some of them- you have some that are different than the normal photos. Nice job getting pictures of the movie clips at the end.

Thanks! I must have had my setting just right. I'm sure I didn't change them too much from what I used at ToT.

We had the cowboy scene once, but my husband missed it because he was off getting FP for RnR. It really is much better, or at least different, from the gangster scene I have seen a gazillion times.

:rotfl2: It does feel like a gazillion times, doesn't it? It's like "oh yeah - there's that gangsta again. thanks." :rotfl:

Sounds like TSM was fun

The boys loved it. What little boy wouldn't?

:sad2: on the FP FP (thats Fast Pass Faux Pas)

Wow - that would have been a great name for my update. Do you think it's too late to change it?

Now lunch time is the perfect time to ditch the family for some solo lunch at Starring Rolls, and FP gathering... Oh...

October! I hope Cynthia will go with me at October. I want to try the sushi!

A southern girl, I am, I am! :rotfl: Except, you southerners go back to school WAY too early. :rotfl:

I always think that, too! So much more that we end up taking.

Ugh - we split up the stuff between two cars since we were also taking our bikes. My car was packed and it was just ME in there. Ridiculous.

I don't think I have ridden GMR in a long time. I am thinking maybe 2008 or 2009 was the last time. We should try and fit it in this year.
You got some more good shots there.

That's about how long it was since I had last ridden it. I'm glad we decided to check it out this trip, if only for picture purposes. Seriously - I did enjoy it.

Have fun at the beach. I think thats what I would call it too. I never had a destination to a beach, so I guess I never thought of it. Usually the closest thing would be a lake and we just say "lake" here. I have had Florida trips that included some beach time...but I would just say "going to Florida". :confused3
Anyways, I hope you have a great time.

When I go to Florida, that's what I say too, whether its the beach or not. I just have fun with the terms because when I grew up in SE PA we always said "the shore", but the second I moved to Delaware I had to relearn it as "the beach".

We did have a great time. Sorry to be going back to work tomorrow.

Glad everyone enjoyed TSM. I like the GMR too - but we haven't been to DHS for a while, so we'll need to do it again next time. We will ask for the cowboy. Dave didn't believe me when I told him there was a different version so he went to the CM at the door and asked and she told him you could request it. I gave him the "I told you I learned it on the DISboards" look. ;)

:rotfl: Oh No - not the "I told you I learned it on the DISboards look". Too, too funny.

I am definitely requesting the cowboy next time.

Hope you have fun on your beach trip! Around here we have a million lakes and everyone goes to "the lake". No matter which lake it is. No ocean or real beach though. I'd say "beach" for the ocean trip.

I'm glad you agree with the beach terminology. We had a really nice time. It was pretty crowded, but out house was on the bay and that was nice.

Oh gosh, your SIL is too funny, she was on a FP tear!

She sure was. She was so proud of herself. It was pretty funny. :lmao:

Oh GMR, I pretty much forget that it is even there. Its nice and all, once a decade or so. :rotfl2:

Once a decade? :rotfl: It's not THAT bad. I actually really enjoyed it. Glad I did it.

I have requested the cowboy scene, and I don't know if I was lucky or what, but I got to see it. It is a pretty rare sighting!

It really is a rare sighting and its a great sequence. I've seen it once and I am going to definitely request it next time.

Have a wonderful time at the beach!! That is what we aways called it in CA. Here in TX, everyone says, lets go down to the gulf. (Except people from CA, they still say beach :thumbsup2:).

"down the gulf" - I like that. Again - its such a geographical reference. CA = beach. Of course. That's where the BEACH Boys are from.

Loved your GMR pics!! I have yet to get the cowboy scene either, but we only go every third trip or so. My older grandson favorite is Star Tours and my younger grandsons is TSM. I just love the FP ticket adventure when the park first opens.:sad2: Maybe even though it will be off season they will still be doing 'soft' openings!!:goodvibes:

I so hope you get a soft opening. It will make your life so much easier. With two grandsons wanting to go in two different directions. Yikes. In December I waited in a killer long line for those TSM FPs. I had to fight the urge not to just leave. Sounds like my SIL just walked right on up.

Looking forward to what comes next!! Great picture on SOA, wish a CM had been nearby, so you could have stepped into the picture also!!

I really hope to get my next update up soon. I have to get replies first and then I have a million TRs to catch up on. I feel like I'm never going to get caught up.

I forgot to comment in England we said we were going to the seaside!!!!!

I love that Rosie. It sounds so refined! :goodvibes

Depends, if in WA or OR it's the coast, talking about CA usually the beach. To funny on the FP's

So both New England and WA/OR call it the coast. That must be a northern thing and beach is the southern expression. Still no accounting for the Jersey "shore". :rotfl2:

Well.. if you were a Jersey girl like me... you'd say downtheshore.... and yes... it is all one word!!!

Michelle - I have to tell you that when I first read this several days ago, I totally cracked up. :rotfl2: It is all one word. :rotfl2: OH, you Jersey people just make me laugh. :lmao:

Another vote for the "beach". Wait, I'm from Delaware, so you already knew that.

:goodvibes Why yes....Yes I did! :thumbsup2

No electronics on vacation = :thumbsup2

It was easy to avoid electronics with the internet only worked half the time in our condo. :rotfl: Actually, I really went back to basics. I didn't FB that much and I read a whole book. Such a proud moment.

Better you than me! At least it's air-conditioned.

You got that right!

I've ridden this a couple of times and still haven't figured out what the point of "hijacking" the ride is.

I think its just to add another layer to the ride so you get the impression you are really being entertained. :rotfl:

Honestly, you're better than I am!

Somehow I doubt that!

NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo.....

Exactly, NOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo is how I felt. It all turned out fine in the end, but I wasn't particularly happy at that point.

That's a sandwich? It looks like a hunk of bread.

That might be why I couldn't figure out what I was eating. I still can't tell if its Turkey or Ham. :confused3

Hope you are having a great time at the beach (that is what I call it!).

Another vote for beach! Yeah - I like that. I didn't know beach was so popular.

Too cute about your SIL. She was really getting in the spirit of things.

Nicely said. That's exactly what was happeneing and you certainly can't fault her for that. Still, at the time I was thinking....WTH?????

We love the GMR even though I still haven't gotten the cowboy side. One day I am going to think and ask for it before I sit down in the ride vehicle and we are moving along. :confused3

Yeah - once the ride is moving it IS a little too late! :rotfl: That is something I would do and who is going to ride it a second time right in a row? :lmao:

Never eaten at Backlot. We like ABC Commissary. I am a chicken girl and they have a good chicken sandwich there.

I have eaten at the Commissary quite a few times as well. It's OK. They are all just OK, as far as I'm concerned. Being really hungry is the key!

I read the Dragon Tatoo trilogy! Are you planning on reading them all? Once I started I couldn't stop.

I read the Dragon Tatoo trilogy! Are you planning on reading them all? Once I started I couldn't stop.

I just have to respond to this now because YES. I went into withdrawal when I finished the first one last night. I kept wanting to pick it up and read it again, but had to remind myself I was done. I am ordering them the next time I hit up Amazon. :rotfl2::thumbsup2

I can tell from your Facebook pictures that your time at the beach is going swimmingly. :lmao: Oh I am so not funny.

:rotfl2: Actually, that was pretty fun. I did LOL, just for the record!

I gotta admit that I was shocked that ya'll made rope drop at Hollywood Studios but that you did!

I was SO happy about that. Definitely a turning point for our trip. It was great.

It's no wonder you're scared of thrill rides. Who wouldn't be after been left hanging upside down before? I didn't do thrill rides until I was in my 30s and I didn't have that excuse.

Yug - I still think about that and shudder. I was totally petrified. It was NOT fun!

Your pictures in the Tower of Terror queue and Great Movie Ride are great! I have to comment on the lady in the front row of Tower of Terror....poor thing. I don't know if she was trying to protect her other child or if she was hanging onto her husband.

Thanks. I really did luck out with the pictures. I'm so happy they turned out as good as they did. And that woman - :rotfl: Hope she never sees her picture on the DIS boards.

Aww, I'd have forgiven the sister-in-law too for getting the second set of Toy Story Mania fastpasses. Like you said, once she realized how great they were, she couldn't help herself.

Just like a kid in a candy shop! ;) I totally forgave her and the TSM where put to good use later that evening. :thumbsup2

Love all the GMR pics! I am a fan of the ride. Weird as it is... it is a must for me each trip.

I don't think its weird at all. I think the whole concept of the ride is pretty cool. I so wish there was a way to change some of the scenes, but I like it. Its perfect for HS.

I struggle with dinning option in DHS too... SR is yummy... but how to get a table that isn't RIGHT in the sun :confused3 (on hot days) or is sheltered from wind or rain (on icky days)

I know, right? I wish Starring Rolls was bigger with nice indoor seating. Of course, if that ever happened no one would ever go to any of the other CS places. :rotfl:

I like TSM too... but I would never wait that long for it. 120 minutes? In DL, I did wait longer than I ever have before.. and it was miserable. I think that was under an hour.. but not by much.

I could NEVER wait 120 minutes. I just don't have it in me. I am way too distracted and impatient. I am not sure how people do it. Kudos to them.

Have a great time at the beach.

Thanks. We had a really nice vacation. Reentry was hard. And I am so NOT caught up on the DIS. I'm starting to get frustrated.

oh I would not do well left hanging upside down!!!:crazy2:

It was SO unpleasant. I hated it and still remember it like it was yesterday. And it was FAR from yesterday. :rolleyes1

DH has tried to tell me that you don't notice the upside down but I am so sure. Maybe when dD is ready to try it I will brave it then. we'll see. or maybe I will just enjoy a candy apple while they go on!

Well, the candy apple DOES sound like a good alternative. :rotfl: But your DH is actually right. I mean - you know you are upside down but it feels different than you think it would. It's really not scary and its over fast. Far, FAR different from being left hanging upside down - I assure you.

MEK I know you are having a great time at the beach :) Maybe we PA & Jersey folks have to say "shore" 'cuz there are so many other beeches up here. :scratchin (can't spell it the other way its a family site!):lmao::lmao:

:rotfl: Well now, that's an interesting theory. I just remember having the hardest time converting from "shore" to "beach". I thought everyone in Delaware was crazy.

LOVED your GMR & TSM photos. I love GMR and we had the same cast member when we rode it the week before you (sad that your pix are up before mine):scared: and you're right, she sorta fit the role.

She totally fit the roll. So funny that you had the same CM. Glad you like the pics and not sad at all that mine are up first. You'll get there.

I think TSM is hard to get a high score too. but its still fun!

The whole time you are playing it, it FEELS like your score should be high and then you look down and go "Whaaaaaaat?????"

Just checkin' in!!!

Hey Rosie. I wish I was getting this next update out quicker, but its just not happening. I have a bunch of stuff to do all week, but I promise to get to it at the earliest possible time.

Enjoy the beach! We will be arriving in Bethany this Saturday! :cool1: :beach:

Really? You mean we were probably passing each other in traffic on Saturday? Figures. Hope you are having a great time down there and that the weather cooperates. Hope you love the place that you are staying and you get plenty of sunshine! :goodvibes

Have fun kayaking!!

Thanks. Kayaking was SO fun. I loved it. I swear, I want to own a kayak now.

Enjoy your trip but hurry back soon, I'm dying to hear about your last trip!!:lmao:

Seriously, have fun kayaking, stay safe!:goodvibes

I'm back, but I am sure having a hard time getting to my next update. :headache: I promise - it WILL happen. We had a great trip to the beach and the kayaking was very fun and very safe. I highly recommend it.

In Alabama, I go six hours south to the beach!

That is WAY too far, but at least you call it "the beach" :rotfl: I actually think when you have to drive further for something you appreciate it a lot more. Sometimes I feel like I take the beach for granted because I live so close.

Doe
s it get a bad rap? I didn't know. We love it! :)

I have heard a lot of people say its tired, old, and sorely in need of a refurb. I do think it would be cool if they could change the occasional scene. I could totally do without the alien scene. It would be fun to see that turn into something else. But it is a very nostalgic right, so worth some kudos in my book.

Only one time for us too!

I wonder why there is such a disproportionate ratio between the two sequences? :confused3

:lmao: Sad, but true!

:rotfl2: Talk about homely!

I love it too, but I must admit I fell asleep and managed a little power nap during this last trip!

Any ride that doubles as a power nap spot is really OK in my book! :thumbsup2

All caught up again... looks like a successful morning at DHS. The SIL/FP story is pretty funny! :rotfl: I hope it didn't mess up your afternoon plans.

We had a very good morning in HS. Glad we got there nice and early. My plans didn't get messed up too badly. I got over it in about 5 minutes and having an excuse for everyone to come back in the park that evening actually worked out well. :thumbsup2

I hope you are having a nice time at the beach (that's what we call it here in NH) and you had a fun kayaking adventure.

We had a really nice time. Thanks. I know NH had a couple resort towns and one of them ends in beach, but I am totally blanking on it right now. The kayaking was really fun. Loved it.

Hope you had fun kayaking yesterday!

The kayaking was so much fun! I really enjoyed it and can't wait to do it again. I'm thinking HHI in the spring.

Can't wait to hear about your Dismeet! Have fun Kayaking!!!

The kayaking was so fun and I promise to post pictures of that and the DISmeet. I have gotten so far behind and I am so frustrated with myself, but its been a busy reentry from vacation!

MaryEllen, sorry I missed the last update and your send-off. Hope the kayaking went well for you and can't wait to hear all about it.

No worries. You already know how far behind I am. I feel like I probably won't get caught up until this weekend. Yikes! The kayaking was great!

Great pictures of the GMR...mine have never turned out there. I really wish they would do the cowboy scene more often although, truthfully, I think the whole ride needs a rehab.

I would love to see the cowboy scene more. I have seen it in YEARS! I do agree that certain sections of the ride could use a revision. I just don't see Disney sinking a lot of $ into that ride right now. It's a filler ride. People ride it while waiting for something else, so it has a purpose.

That's too funny about your SIL getting the fastpasses now that she had it figured out.

It was rather comical, especially once I was over the shock of losing my next FP.

Glad you made it home. I thought about you as I was driving to Smyrna to pick my dogs up from the kennel. I forgot it was Saturday and took rt 1. Ugh that traffic was BAD.

We checked out at 10am and then it took 45 minutes to get up to Lewes. Denny insisted that we stop for Grottos pizza, which the kids had, but we never did. We ended up having an adult meal at the Back Porch. Very good! They have a Price Fixe menu on Thursdays. Yum!

After an early lunch we hit the Nassau Vineyards for a tasting and then it was home. The traffic definitely slowed down in spots, but it was so much better than my ride there. :faint: I swear everyone is on vacation this week because my commutes have been amazingly traffic free! Yeah!

Welcome back :)

Thanks. Now if I could just get caught up on the DIS.

Welcome back! I can't wait to see your pictures!

Thanks! We had a great time. It may be awhile for the "real" pictures, but I do have some cell pics with my next update.

Welcome home!!

Thanks! It's nice to be home, but reentry has been hard.:rotfl:

Welcome Home

Thanks! We had a great time and I hope to post soon. I know I keep saying that. :rotfl:

welcome home !!!

Thanks! I've been so busy since I got back that I haven't caught up on all the granny antics yet! :lmao:

Welcome home, hope you had a fun trip. Can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks! We really had a nice time. Relaxing, despite the fact that the beach was very crowded. I will post some pics with next update.

As always, enjoy reading your updates! 1 month to go and getting so excited!

Thanks and you must be SO excited! :woohoo: That last month is the hardest to wait.

I'm not a thrill ride person at all (very bad motion sickness) but I'm hoping to try RnR. My cousin told me if I can do any rollercoaster I should be good on that one!

IF it gets a little intense, just close your eyes. I personally love the flips, but when I was first starting up with thrill rides I kept my eyes closed and that helped me with the nerves.

You're certainly helping fuel my obsession prior to my trip! :cool1:

I'm so glad and I hope to have some more updates done before you go, even though I am turning into a slacker right now.

Hope you had fun at the beach!

Thanks. We had a great time. It was really fun!

I read the Dragon Tatoo trilogy! Are you planning on reading them all? Once I started I couldn't stop.

If you didn't see my response earlier, I just wanted to comment again that I loved the first book and I am definitely ordering the others. I really got addicted to it. I wanted to go back and read it again when I was done. :rotfl2:

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was recommended to me, but I'm not too sure about thta series. I just finished the Hunger Games trilogy & really enjoyed it a lot.

Glad you enjoyed the beach & kayacking. I love the beach, but don't like boats, ships yes!:thumbsup2

Whew! Just found your TR and am now all caught up! Family makes for an interesting trip. Can't wait to read more! Although, I was a little disappointed that some of the pictures would't load, but it was a fun read anyway!

Thanks Karen

After you finish the series, books two and three, you can watch the series on Netflix, if you have it. It is about 12 hours long, but It was really well done and stayed close to the books.

Glad you are home safe and looking forward to more!!
