Before I start my next update I just want to give a general life update. I am leaving for a week at the beach tomorrow - beach, shore, ocean, whatever you want to call it. Here in Delaware we call it "the beach". People in PA and NJ called it "the shore".

Another vote for the "beach". Wait, I'm from Delaware, so you already knew that.

So, I guess what I am trying to say is I'm not sure how much I will be on the DIS next week. I may not get to replies until I get home, so be patient.

OK - I know this ride gets a bad rap and, I will admit I have skipped it since 2009, but today I felt like checking it out. Plus, I felt like taking some pics.

Uh Oh - I think I know what's going to happen next

I've ridden this a couple of times and still haven't figured out what the point of "hijacking" the ride is.

Honestly, I stink at TSM and this is the absolute best I have done. But check out Josh's accuracy. Wow!

I yelled, "Wait.....Stop.......", but my efforts were in vain. Just as I opened my mouth, the last park ticket went into the machine.

OK - this is funny - I am not even sure what that sandwich is. It looks like ham, but there is no ham on the menu, so I'm guessing its the turkey sandwich and it was just OK.

That's a sandwich? It looks like a hunk of bread.

We love the GMR even though I still haven't gotten the cowboy side. One day I am going to think and ask for it before I sit down in the ride vehicle and we are moving along.

Never eaten at Backlot. We like ABC Commissary. I am a chicken girl and they have a good chicken sandwich there.

I can tell from your Facebook pictures that your time at the beach is going swimmingly. Oh I am so not funny.

I gotta admit that I was shocked that ya'll made rope drop at Hollywood Studios but that you did!

It's no wonder you're scared of thrill rides. Who wouldn't be after been left hanging upside down before? I didn't do thrill rides until I was in my 30s and I didn't have that excuse.

Your pictures in the Tower of Terror queue and Great Movie Ride are great! I have to comment on the lady in the front row of Tower of Terror....poor thing. I don't know if she was trying to protect her other child or if she was hanging onto her husband.

Aww, I'd have forgiven the sister-in-law too for getting the second set of Toy Story Mania fastpasses. Like you said, once she realized how great they were, she couldn't help herself.

Love all the GMR pics! I am a fan of the ride. Weird as it is... it is a must for me each trip.

I struggle with dinning option in DHS too... SR is yummy... but how to get a table that isn't RIGHT in the sun (on hot days) or is sheltered from wind or rain (on icky days)

I like TSM too... but I would never wait that long for it. 120 minutes? In DL, I did wait longer than I ever have before.. and it was miserable. I think that was under an hour.. but not by much.

hey, I long ago gave up wondering why it took so long, and just learned to be happy when he DOES figure stuff like this out (you know, on his own, after I mentioned it a few hundred times)


I will never forget how I was left hanging on that ride. Up until that point I used to try everything. That all changed and I didn't ride anything for awhile. I am glad I am able to enjoy rides like RnR and Tot! They are both such awesome rides. And I was so happy we got there early enough to walk on.

Oh, this is such a lie! (Well, for me it is anyway ) I would never do a coaster that goes upside down, but one time when we were at Disney with friends my girlfriend swore that RnRC was so fast and smooth that you couldn't even tell when you go upside down. So, I rode it and I could definitely tell! I was glad she lied to me though, because now it's one of my all time favorite WDW attractions!

DH has tried to tell me that you don't notice the upside down but I am so sure. Maybe when dD is ready to try it I will brave it then. we'll see. or maybe I will just enjoy a candy apple while they go on!

MEK I know you are having a great time at the beach Maybe we PA & Jersey folks have to say "shore" 'cuz there are so many other beeches up here. (can't spell it the other way its a family site!)

LOVED your GMR & TSM photos. I love GMR and we had the same cast member when we rode it the week before you (sad that your pix are up before mine) and you're right, she sorta fit the role.

I think TSM is hard to get a high score too. but its still fun!

Hi DIS friends - Just checking in. thanks for all the great comments! Hopefully, I will do some replies while I'm here.

Today I'm up early because we are going kayaking. I'm getting my own kayak. We'll see how that goes.

It's very crowded here and it took me 45 minutes to drive from Bethany to the Rehoboth outlets yesterday (should be a 10 min drive).

I did have a quick DIS meet yesterday and I did take a picture, but you'll just have to wait on that one!

Haven't taken a single picture with my DSLR, but hope to change that.

Well, I guess that's about it for now.

Probably going to check out a few other TRs now while I'm drinking my coffee!

Like many of you, I never get the cowboy sequence. I have only had it once. Today was no exception.

Only one time for us too!

This CM was perfect for this role. She wasn't exceptionally attractive, so she didn't have to try all that hard to look like a thug.

Sad, but true!

I love the movie montage at the end.

I love it too, but I must admit I fell asleep and managed a little power nap during this last trip!
