Will you add on at the Poly?

True, but those water bungalows are very unique.....

I agree, I would not be surprised if the Poly 2BRs (or whatever those bungalows end up being) are similar to VGF 2BRs because of the uniqueness. It's hard for me to judge, though, because even though GF is the flagship resort, I have no desire to ever stay there. I would rather stay at Poly or CR/BLT than GF.

We've had a couple of stays at Poly and loved it at the time. Now I prefer to just visit Poly for dinner and stay someplace a little more peaceful and quiet, or an EP resort because we spend more time at DHS and EP these days than MK. Direct prices have reached a level that are too high for me to justify. Even buying four years ago we went with resale, and the price difference was not as great back then.

The parking is the worst at any Disney resort, this will only make it worse. I have no desire in it at all.

I would love to, but we already have more points than we probably need once we get through taking the friends & family who are interested. Even if that weren't the case I suspect the price and the points chart would be out of a range that would be a 'value' from my perspective. I also have the additional concern that I'm not getting $2 for the £1 which I was when I bought the majority of my points.

All that said I'll be joining the long queue of people looking to get in at 7 months for sure!

What do you guys think the price pp would be when it goes on sale I am expecting it to be around $160-170 . I hope the point charts don't look like VGF . If so I think they did it backwards they should have done poly first the VGF .

This one is really dificult for us. We love the Poly but we are much more a "Epcot resort" versus "Magic Kingdom" resort family. We have 600 points currently (300 at BCV and 300 at AKV). As much as I want to add on at the Poly it will be very dificult to justify the cost. We have been successful at booking at 7 months out (including Aulani twice in a 2 bedroom) so we probably will take our chances that way. Regardless we will definately be staying there (hopefully soon after it opens) :thumbsup2

I do not think the Poly points will be higher than the VGF. The VGF is the Flagship. We were told by our guide at the time when BLT was built that if they added the VGF and the Poly, the VGF would be the first they added and Poly the last as Poly was the most popular among guests. He felt if the Poly came first people would buy the Poly, but not VGF. With the VGF, people would buy both.

I was all set to buy the Poly when it was announced, but if there are no 1 bdrms it is pointless

No interest. I like the Poly but don't love it. It's down the list of our fave deluxe hotels (WL, AKL, BC).

Would much rather save points and get to Aulani every 4 or 5 years for the "real" Hawaii.

DH and I were married on the beach at Poly so I thought for sure he would be all about adding on at Poly but he says nope, not interested. He really only likes the 1 bedrooms. That being said he said we can add on VGF whenever I am ready to pull the trigger.

The parking is the worst at any Disney resort, this will only make it worse. I have no desire in it at all.

I read somewhere that they are adding parking over by the 2 DVC buildings.

I never understood the love for the Poly. We stayed there on our second WDW trip in 1996 (GF was first) and wasn't crazy about it. Seemed dark. Haven't stayed there again. My dream was always DVC at GF but the prices are ridiculous, I'll stick with my BWV points and hope to get VGF at 7 months (have a reservation next month).

I may buy but it will be resale. I don't care about ability to trade out and I cannot justify $155+ for the cost of a point...
