Will weather be ok to swim in pools....

At that time of year, usually just one of the two waterparks is open while the other is closed for refurbishment.

In 2006, we spent 8 days in WDW during the last week in January. Yes, there were some days warm enough to swim, although the water was chilly to us!

I have been twice in Feb and both times it was pretty cool for swimming (highs in the 50s probably) but if you love to swim- the pools are heated. I wouldn't enjoy a waterpark in that weather though.

HI,

I was just there this past Feb 9-13 and let me tell you the weather was wonderful for park touring! We did swim, but mostly from about noon to 2ish as that was the warmest part of the day. We did see people in the pools every night. There was steam rising from them from the air being chilly. The pools are heated though, so as long as you stay in the water you will be fine. Now getting out of the water is a different story LOL. We did swim one night and then ran back to the room. The hot tubs were filled also.

I'm sort of a wuss when it comes to air temperature for swimming. I don't want to go to Disney water parks until like May. :) That said, last February, we did manage to spend some time in the pool on a nice day, though I found that I really needed to keep moving to stay warm. The hot tub is a great alternative.

One of my February trips is was cold enough that I wouldn't even think of swimming. Last year we could have hit the pool every day and enjoyed it. Even the year I thought it was too cold to swim, lots of kids/teenagers were in the pool.

Very cold to swim in Feb and think of getting out of the water and how much colder the air temp will feel when you are wet. You will have to run back to your room because it may feel very cold when you get out of the water.
We have gone in Feb a number of times and have had freeze warnings in Florida while we were there so that tells you how cold it gets.

Wish I had time to scan a pic that we took in Florida 2 years ago where they forgot to turn off the water sprinklers and everything was covered in ice the next morning. What a site to see in Florida.

We travel over President's Week, and I've always been in the water. But we live in CT and I grew up in MN. DH on the other hand grew up in TX and rarely gets into the water. Different strokes....

I think it is either hit or miss. We went this past Feb. and the weather was wonderful to go swimming. We also went spring break of March 07, and it was freezing. You never know?!

Feb. weather is funny in fla. Last presidents week it ranged from 60 to 80. We did manage to swim a couple of days, but it was a bit chilly sitting by the pool.
