Will we regret not bringing the video camera?

So, an update.

DH, without telling me first, sneakily put the video camera in one of our carry-ons this morning.

He just sort of randomly told me "oh, by the way, the video camera is in the carry on." I know this trip means a lot to you, and I don't want you to have any regrets.

Isn't my hubby nice?

I still don't think I'll drag it to all the parks, but we'll have it at least.

It's nice to take it, but you may find yourself watching the results less and less as time goes by. We did. :earsboy:

Flip video - got one for our upcoming trip. About the size of a pack of cards, very light, mine has a 30 minute video limit (promotes discipline in limiting shooting time, longer video memory is available), and has like three buttons that make it work, including a zoom. Connects to a USB port on your PC so you can easily download the videos. Inexpensive but takes very acceptable videos. Does a pretty good job in dim light, not great, but good enough.

Perfect for people like me who want basic video without having to lug a lot of equipment around.

I was going to mention the Flip.

I'm getting one for our family's trip. I can't decide whether I want the regular or HD.

Perfect size for a trip like this.

I think bringing the camera is a good idea. Bring it the first day in the parks and see if you use it! If you don't... leave it in the hotel the next day! I'd rather be safe than sorry...:goodvibes

I once took a quick trip with just one of my kids and decided to leave the video camera behind.

Well, we were the first in line at Dumbo and my son got to ride with Mickey! After the ride, hand in hand, my son and Mickey walked through Fantasyland to a spot where Mickey would be giving autographs. Of course my son was the first to receive this honor. And me the whole time without a video camera. Ugh.

Bring the camera.

Crud. I thought I had decided not to take our Sony Handycam. It will be DDs (19 months) first trip to all the parks but she is scared of characters anyhow. But now I realize that my Disney loving stepdaughter will probably never get to DW at Christmastime so maybe I should get some video for her. Urgh, decisions, decisions...

If this may be a one time trip deal, then take the camera and go nuts, if you know you will be going back in a year or 2, decide what you will. Just keep in your mind that if something really magical happens, and you go to reach for your camera and it's not there........

Perfect size for a trip like this.

Just a personal opinion but I think the extra $60-80 for the HD is more than worth it. I think the best way to answer the question is to watch the same video on YouTube in HD and SD and compare. The difference in quality is significant. The MinoHD will be my wife's Christmas gift so she can stop asking me to carry around our other camcorder!:cool1:
