Will we need a sweatshirt or jacket at all in July?

I'm trying to pack as light as possible for the kids and myself. Will there be any times that we (especially my 21 month old) will need something other than shorts and t-shirts?

Thanks!

Sue

Four time's and never needed anything more than shorts and T-shirts day or night.:wave2:

call me crazy, but I freeze in some of the buildings, therefore I bring a really light jacket or long sleeve blouse to wear when we eat...

oh yeah, and depending on where you eat you might need longer
pants/slacks some of the fancier resturants in the resorts require nicer dress, but not many...:wave2:

Im from Washington state and I have never needed a jacket in July or August. I wear them all the time at home, year around. I found it was even warm after Enight (1am in the morning) We were still in shorts and plenty warm.

The only place I have ever needed a sweater in the warmer months was at the Hoop de doo revue. It really gets cold in there. One of the waitressess gave my daughter a clean table cloth to wrap around her to keep warm.
Other than that, t-shirts and shorts.

It's a good idea to take one, at least for the little ones. We've been caught in many a rain shower and then went into air conditioning and were very cold. It happened once on the way to Chef Mickey's. My 4 yo, at the time, was so cold we asked for extra cloth napkins to put around her. It made for a less than enjoyable meal. It's difficult to find a sweatshirt in Disney in July. We finally found one for her at the POC giftshop. We now always go in July and we each bring a light sweatshirt.

Well for us it never fails that if we do NOT pack a lightweight jacket then we wish we had! I would bring one just to be safe. The AC in some places is almost arctic in my opinion.

I have a childhood picture of me with a HDD tablecloth wrapped around my shoulders too. You brought back memories.:D

maybe you could bring one sweatshirt for yourself, and if your kids get cold they could use it...

We usually wear a light jacket on the plane. That way we have it if we need it. Rarely have we used them during the trip. I like knowing we have them.

Better to pack a jacket and one pr of pants for that rare chance you may need them - than to have to purchase new ones for all when at WDW. ::yes::

We're going in July, and I'll be carrying a long-sleeved T-shirt material shirt for my DS12. From past experience, he gets cold in some of the restaurants, and the shirt takes up so little room in my back-pack.

I haven't been able to find one recently but I have a thin windbreaker type jacket that is (used to be) also water resistant to be usable in the rain. It isn't meant to keep you warm but will keep the chill away in an air conditioned restaurant, etc.

I mentioned it here because it takes up less space in a suitcase or backpack than a long sleeved T-shirt.

Didn't need it or any long sleeved or long legged clothes at all outdoors over Labor Day at WDW.

Oddly enough, you only need them for being INSIDE. Outside, you won't need them. Inside, the air conditioning can be a bit chilly if you're inside for more than 1/2 an hour. I wouldn't bother bringing them to the parks, but for a dinner out at a resort restaurant or any other indoor activity you may want them.
