Our flight arrives at 10:50 am. We are staying at GF and using DME for transportation. Will we have enough time to get to Crystal Palace for a 1:05 ADR? I also have a later ADR for 2:15 but I think my gang will be starving by then. But I have no idea how long the arrival and checkin process takes as we have always stayed off property.

We're going the same days :)

I'd do the later one. If your flight gets delayed, you would panic. Are you going to your room first? Where are you staying? Between travel time just from the airport to the hotel, I'd definitely cancel the first one.

The general rule of thumb is to allow about 3 hours from when you de-plane to when your walking into a theme park using DME and Disney transportation. About half of that time is to get from the plane to WDW and then another 90 minutes to check-in, drop off your carry-on in the room, and then get to the theme park. Personally, I would not take the 1:05 pm ADR because there is a chance that you will miss it and then you'll be charged the no show penalty. I suppose if you are running late (e.g., the plane was delayed, there was traffic getting to GF, etc.), you could always drop your carry-ons at bell services and then head directly to MK (skipping check-in until later in the afternoon).

Land 10:50
Getting off plane (15 min) 11:05
Getting to ME (10-15min) 11:15-11:20
I've waited up to (30 min) for ME to leave airport 11:45-11:50.
Bus ride to disney (30-1hr) depending on how many stops you make 12:15-12:50.

As you can see you'd be pushing it. Could you make it? Sure if all the stars align just right. I wouldn't chance it. I would take the later ADR. If you take the early one and things don't run according to plan you'll start your trip off all stressed out.

I would go with the later ADR and just give the kids a light snack. Although rare I did have to wait along time for DME once and planes do get delayed.

:offtopic:My kids may be on DME with you their plane gets in around the same time. Have a great trip

Take the later one. Making the first one would depend on everything working out perfectly. Heck, depending on the size of the plane and where your seats are, it can take 40 minutes just to get off of the aircraft.

I've also had it take almost 2 1/2 hours to make it to my resort using DME. Worst case, for sure. But you just never know how long it will take. And if you miss your ADR you will be charged the no show fee. Why risk it?

Pack a few snacks for the plane. Take the later ADR.

Are you prepared to pay the $10 pp charge if you miss it?

If you flight is delayed you won't make either one. My personal policy is no non refundable adrs on arrival day. Have arrived hours later than planned way too often

Good luck

I agree with everyone else that I would go with the later one. Even with no flight delays, you might have to wait on DME and depending on how many stops there are, it could take some time getting to the GF if you aren't the first or second stop. I would play it safe and go with the 2:15 ADR.

I remember reading somewhere that it's approximately 2 hours between when your flight lands and you arrive at your resort - hope that helps!
