Our flight arrives at 1035. How fast could we be at TRex in DTD> I figured 45 min from airport. Thinking of a 1230 lunch? Thanks!!!

Are you going straight to DTD from the airport? Are you going to hotel first, if so which one? Are you taking a cab, town car, Magical Express?

We are taking Magical Express. We are staying at POP. Planned on going to the hotel first?

That would be too close for my comfort especially with having little ones.

Agreed, that might be cutting it close. While pop is closer from the airport, you still have to factor on the bus being ready, and then waiting on the bus at the resort.I would push to 1. If you are early then you can walk around DTD. Better than feeling rushed is timing is off/

make sure you book through T-Rex directly and not through Disney, so if you miss the reservation you don't end up having to pay $10 per person.

definitely do this ^^ :)

Also, We have found Trex to be very flexible if you are running late still just call them and they will meet your needs.
Or, join the Landry club, and get priority seating and not worry about an ADR :)

Awesome! Thanks everyone! I think I will call and push the reservation to 1. We can always show up early if we get there and see if we can get in. Getting so excited!

Most estimates I see say 90 minutes from flight arrival to resort arrival. Where did you get 45 minutes from?

It's never taken us less than 90 minutes from getting off the plane to getting to the resort. The commute itself is 30 minutes alone - factor in traffic, the waiting time on the bus for it to fill up, as well as any line you may face at the DME area. If you're arriving on a weekend, expect a line - took us a good two hours when we arrived on a Saturday morning once.

After you arrive at the resort, you don't necessarily need to check-in first unless you want access to your dining credits. Otherwise, you can either store your carry on bags or head straight to the bus to DTD. Will take about another 20-30 mins to get to DTD from your resort.

It took me right at 3 hours one afternoon in October to land and get to Downtown Disney. Took MDE to Pop, checked in, went to my room to put my luggage up, catch my breath, hop the bus to Downtown Disney, and get there.

By the time our plane landed, we were checking in 90 minutes later. And this is with a rental car, not DME.

2 hours would make me nervous. We actually had 4 on our arrival day and I was nervous!

There is little chance of making that.
The rule of thumb is 90 minutes from getting off the plane to your resort. Then if you have the dining plan you need to check in and activate your credits. If not you will at least want to store your carry on with Bell Services. Count on at leasat 30 minutes. Then you need to wait for a bus to DTD which can easily be 20 or more minutes that time of day. Then travel time.
I never make an ADR less than 4 or 5 hours after I am scheduled to land

Was at DTD 3 weeks ago and the traffic getting in and out was a nightmare. Lots of construction in the parking lot for a new parking garage means most of the traffic was going through one entrance/exit. Add that to you commute time.
