We have a 4:30 dinner reservation in Mexico.........think we can make the 7pm Spectromagic parade???

I would show up at 3:30 and get seated ASAP...if you're seated by 4pm, you MIGHT make it. It really depends on how fast the service is and how fast you move. DH and I are FAST walkers and movers so for us, we could do it. But this time frame would be stretching it for me....you can always try. But if Spectro is a priority, you might want to skip dinner. I hear San Angel is nothing to write home about anyway!

Good advice from Engle. How are you planning to get to MK from Epcot--monorail, bus, your own car?

I agree, that is probably pushing it.

Another thing to consider is where do you plan on viewing Spectro from? Depending on where you want to view Spectro from, you need to be there anywhere from 1 hour to half an hour in advance to get a good seat. (I've seen people sit down two hours in advance!)

I know Mexico isn't all that liked.......but my kids really wanted to eat there last time (it is one of their favorite rides!) and we promised them they could this trip.

I guess monorail would be the quickest way to MK?

We have never staked our seat out more than 30 minutes in advance - no way my little kids would sit that long. We just always kind of 'wing' it and hold them on our shoulders if we need to.

This is actually our 'backup' night for Spectromagic. We'll only have to do this rushing around if it rains the other night they have it.

Thanks!

figure anhour to eat. 30 minutes to walk to monorail 30 minutes to get to mk. 15 minutes to get in. you can do it, but it will be close.

Depending on the day of the week (crowd level) I think you can make it, but it might be a little stressful. I would modify kirbsam's estimate a little by thinking about 1 hr. 20 minutes for dinner and 20 minutes to walk to the monorail and 20 minutes to travel to the MK. In order to save time you could always skip dessert and get something at the Magic Kingdom later like ice cream or something from the bakery (if you're on the meal plan you probably wouldn't want to do this). We were there last Sunday night for the 9:00 Spectromagic Parade and arrived at the MK at 8:45 after our dinner at Narcoosee's. We were able to enter Mk and get a nice viewing spot in the circle in from of the train station with only one row of people ahead of us. Fortunately they were not tall and one was in a ECV so we had a great view. If our plan had been to leave the park after the parade we were ina great position, but we wanted to see Wishes so we followed the parade down Main Street and then cut over to Tomorrowland where we were able to find a good spot near the bridge to see and hear Wishes.

In any case, rushing through dinner is no fun. The food may be a matter for debate, but just about everyone agrees the atmosphere at San Angel is terrific. Might as well relax and take it in. Good luck and have a great trip.:earsboy:

I don't know if monorail is hte quickest way to get there. If you ave to wait for the monorail, it could be up to a 20 minute wait, then a transfer at TTC then into the park. i would allow at least an hour to just get to the MK, then more time to get in and grab a spot

It might be faster to head over through the international gateway and grab a mk bus. takes you directly there. I would still allow an hour though just to get to the MK

hope your first night pans out!

I think Pumbaa has a good suggestion here. It's not exactly super speedy, but is probably faster than monorail.:earsboy:

Two years ago it took us two hours to eat there due to slow service. This may be too stressful to be worth it. I have learned to cut out stressful situations at Disney as much as possible. I'm there to relax, not to see and do everything.
