Hello again, I wonder if anyone can help?
We are on the first seating, will we have enough time to do the sail away party and get showered etc for dinner?
The same for the day at castaway cay will we have enough time to see the kids in their farewell show that I have read about and have time to get changed etc for dinner, I just have a buzzing head at the moment consistant with runing from a-b picking up dropping off!!!!! were supposed to be on holiday I think Im getting greedy and wanting to see it all, Please help if anything just to calm me down!!!! :hyper2: :hyper: :hyper2: :hyper:

The sailaway party is over about 5:30, so I don't think you'll have enough time. We usually get dressed before, or shower in the morning before getting on and just change after the sailaway. You definately won't have time after the kids show to get dressed. We always go to the show dressed for dinner, because the debarkation talk ALWAYS runs long, so the kids show always starts late. By the time all the kids are out of the theatre, itls always after 5:30. We then just head up to the kids club to get them ot for dinner, and thead to the dining room.

Ahhhhhhhh....the question IS.....early or late? We had early on our first and late on our next 3.....late seating is for us!!! It seems that most 1st timers have first seating and more CC Club members chose the second.....here's a story I have told many times before.....after a Magical day of shore excursions and walking around the ship I decided to walk down to the internet cafe to check on DD with a coctail in my hand.....it was about 6 o' clock and I was at the base of the stairs when a family (Mom, Dad, 4 kids and Grandma and Grandpa) came running down the stairs yelling and screaming "hurry up, we are going to be late again!"

Well, we will always have early seating if we can get it & you can get everything done if you know what to expect ahead of time. For the sail away party, we leave soon after the characters do. I take out the clothes for dinner before the lifeboat drill because we drop the jackets off after that & go right up to deck 9 for the party. Since I will be rolling up our dinner clothes in the carry ons I wont have to stress about luggage not showing up on time. We just dress for dinner & go right on down to the dinning room.

For CC I make sure that we are packed up by 3...that is enough sun for us anyway...and get the kids bathed & dressed for the club. Take the kids at 4 to check them in for the rehersal, then go back & shower & dress for dinner. We have never gone to the disembarkation talk but did listen to some of it the first cruise in our cabin on the TV. We went to the show, get there early since there will be a line. After the show, I run up to the club to get in line to check the kids out of the club. I take them back to the stateroom & change them into the clothes I put out on the bed before going to the show. We have been able to make it down to dinner before 6 each cruise so far.

Early seating is what works best for us too. We've never had a problem getting ready for dinner. Now we don't have kids with us so that helps some.

For sailaway dress either right before or right after the safety drill (I would suggest before) then you are ready to go right from the party to dinner.

On CC day - if you can trying coming back to the ship in shifts. One parent comes back with maybe one kid to get cleaned up etc. and then the others follow. Be all ready before the show and again you can go right to dinner.

Both the first and last evenings are casual in all resturants so nice dockers & polo for the guys and capris or a sun dress for the girls would work great.

You will feel like you never have enough time and you won't get to do everything that you want!! My DSs TRIED to do it all! :rotfl2:
