I am planning on booking 4 nights @ HH, but am starting to worry that our kids (& DH & me) will be bored. Keep in mind our vacations usually consist of WDW (never a dull moment) & Cherry Grove, SC (very North part of Myrtle Beach - my aunt has a condo there) there is always something to do in Myrtle Beach as well. Our kids love the go carts, rides (nothing on WDW scale), etc. We are worried that our kids will not know how to just "relax". I know that they have activities and so forth, what does this consist of? I know they have dolphin excursions, etc, but this stuff can get expensive. Tell me what your family does @ Hilton Head, I just don't want my kids to be bored. They will be fine during the day with the beach & pool, that's what we usually do, it's at night that we are all used to being entertained.

I don't think it's possible to get bored at HH! We are leaving 8/21 and we're taking my sister's family. My son (11) can't wait to show his cousins around! We love to crab off the pier, bike to the beach house and rent those huge beach bikes that we race on the sand. My son does all the resort activities, his favorite is making the fish print t shirt. There's tons of other kids to meet up with at the pool and beach and the pool games are always fun. He enjoys rescuing starfish on the beach (even though we're not quite sure if their already dead). HH has great mini golf! If you're there on a Tuesday evening there's great kid entertainment right over the bridge. You may find that 4 days aren't nearly enough! Enjoy!!

Our kids (11,8, & 4) love renting bikes and biking to the beach, miniature golf, and doing the resort activities. There is also an arcade/bumper car/amusement center not too far away that we've taken them to which they enjoyed. We've gone to the lighthouse and climbed up and looked out. My kids love HHI and DH and I enjoy doing a "little less" than what we do at WDW. I don't recall ever reading a post where someone says they didn't have a good trip! I hope you enjoy it as well.

The first time we planned a 6 day stay at HH, we planned on going to Savannah for a day, Charleston for another day, the outlets part of a day, etc.....Guess what....we never went to any of them!!! We were having such a nice time at the resort we didn't want to leave!

Thanks, I've shown DS7 some pictures from the other thread re: Mouseplanet. He thought it looked fun. His 1 question:

Do they have ghost tours? I told him that I'm sure they do in Savannah, but not sure about HH. I told him I'd ask a few knowledgable folks - soooo... do they have ghost tours? Thanks Kristi

B'lou Crabbe, one of the CMs at the Disney Resort, does have a "Legends of the Lowcountry" program where he does tell some of the more famous ghost stories of the area.

He's a fantastic storyteller; if you get a chance, be sure to catch his programs!!

we just did 4 nights for the first time. also our first non disney vacation. we never made it to the activities. we went to the beach in the morning and had lunch there. we went back to the room for a bit of a rest, then we spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool. had dinner and put the kids to bed. The latest night was the tuesday BBQ and fireworks.

Dont sweat it. Go enojy.

Will your kids be bored at HHI?...No way.

We just returned from a 4 night stay at HHi w/ 3 kids (9,6,4) and each day, there were activties planned for the kids. There are so many fun activities going on at the resort and the Beach House alone, that it kept them busy and active throughout our stay. The folks that work there were amazing w/ the kids. One minute they are lifeguards, the next minute they are doing crafts with the kids in the activity center, and later at night they are telling stories at the campfire.
