We are arriving to the port at 10:00am by taxi.

I read in an earlier thread that they don't let cars enter until 10:30. Does that also include taxi's.

Help!!

Amtmommy -
If this helps...we arrived (via rental car) at the DCL terminal entrance around 9:45. We were told by the guard at the gate that we could literally wait in our cars in the turning lane until they were ready to open the gate. We did just that - turned off our engine and sat there with about 6 other cars. No one seemed to mind that we created a little "line" in the street. Mind you - this was partly in the turning lane and then as the line grew, it went into the regular driving lane.

I guess the answer to your question is - Yes, they will let you wait....I don't see what difference it would matter if it were a regular car or a taxi.....but to you...it could me some added $$$ on your taxi fee.

It does vary slightly when they open the gates. It has to do with when the terminal is ready to accept check-ins.

Have a great trip.

I saw another thread about this topic not long ago. Someone mentioned something about being dropped off under some type of tent. I'll go see if I can find it.

Yep, that's the one. I had trouble finding it because I couldn't do a search. Thanks.

Zandy595 - Yeah sometimes the Search works quickly for me and other times not. It has to be the forums server because I have a T1 line here at work. - Mike

We arrived slightly early, and we were told that we could wait in the parking lot across the street (not Disney's parking lot). There was a tent, and some people were waiting under it with their luggage. I assume they'd been dropped off by taxis or shuttles. Because we were driving our own car, we chose to drive down to Cocoa Beach.

If your plans are flexible, I'd suggest arriving half an hour later.
