to our home?

I know that resort guests can have their purchases sent to their resort, but will WDW ship purchases directly to your home (for a fee, of course?).

I'd like to do some Christmas shopping, and I think if I buy things and have them in the hotel room, the kids will most likely find them!

TIA!!

Yes - Just on my last trip I had Christmas Ornaments sent home. It arrived about a week later!

Nickunited - Can I ask how much you paid for shipping? Was it through Fed Ex or UPS?

Thanks!

i paid 5.85 or so to ship a jasmine costume and stuff home. it came via ups. just a fyi if you ship stuff outside of fl you don't pay sales tax!!!!!

We did this our last trip and it worked great. I loved not having to worry about how to fit all the "stuff" we bought into our bags.

The shipping cost is based on the value of purchase, I believe.

Highly recommended!

WDW will ship but usually will not consolidate purchases from several stores for one shipment....meaning you'll pay for several shipments if you buy at several locations, or on different days. There are UPS stores in the WDW area....we usually wait till we're know we're finished then take everything to UPS for one shipment....they pack and ship....not really cheap, but convenient.:smooth:

Yes, and you can do it right at the counter where you made the purchase. We have had breakables shipped and never had a problem.

I know in the past they have shipped to your home, for a fee. Unless that policy has changed, I will probably do that in December when I am down there.:earsboy:

If you get home too and remember there is something you want or forgot something then you can call walt disney mail order and can have just about anything in the parks sent to you.

They shiping charges are based on dollar amount.

I don't remember their phone number but if anyone has it, that would be great because I want to order the new calendar they have down there!

If you don't mind me asking, where exactly are the UPS stores at Disney? I would love to ship home since last time I had to pay the airport fee of $50 for an extra bag (because I was over my allowed limit on the return trip). We will be staying on Disney property and will be using Disney transport, but maybe we could take a cab to one of the UPS locations.

I observed a family ship multiple stores stuff into one shipment by just showing sales receipit and asking CM , granted they paid sales tax on stuff they bought at stores they didn't ship from but I'd personally feel stupid shipping 1 t shirt home.

I honestly do not remember how much I paid. I mean i think it was in the 20 dollar range. It depends on how much you spend. I bought 5 sets of Christmas ornaments. I paid more than had I bought 1.

It is worth it if you buy something breakable. Can you really trust it on the plane!

I have done this on every trip down to WDW and it is a wonderful service. I don't mind paying the shipping (you still save on the sales tax) and I don't have to worry about how am I gonna get all of this stuff home?? I highly recommend it.

Yes they will. I just paid $11.87 to have a big box of souvenirs shipped from the YC gift shop to my home. I picked the least expensive choice (UPS ground transport). They said it could be 10-15 days. It arrived 13 days after we left, which is not bad considering that time included hurricane frances and the package probably didn't even go out for a couple of days. I had been shopping throughout the vacation all over the parks and at other gift shops. As long as you bought it at WDW somewhere and had the receipt, they would ship it - even packed it up for me. The price is based on cost we could have sent even more stuff (it was $11.87 for up to $100). Since I had purchased a WL snow globe that was 50% off (only $19.99, what a bargain) I would say I got a good deal on shipping. It was very convenient and I would certainly do it again.

Thanks for all of your responses! I knew you guys would know the answer!

I just sent some things home yesterday. It was 8.95 for 50.00 or less, 10.95 to 100.00 and anything over 100 was 15.95. This was via UPS ground. They do it right at the counter you purchase at. It was for some breakable x-mas gifts and I did't want to have to deal with bringing them home.

In 2002 we spent several days at WDW prior to our 7 day Disney cruise and we used the Fed Ex counter at the Contemporary (where we were staying) to ship all our purchases home so we wouldn't have to bring them on the cruise. We even shipped home clothes we wouldn't need any more for the cruise:D . We just gave them everything and they boxed it and shipped. It was all in one box. It worked out great for us.
