Will unused MYW tickets expire if they are used to reserve FP+?

Assume I purchase will call tickets through MDE, link them to my account and reserve FP+ at 60 days. However, if sometime later we cancel or reschedule my trip, will I still have those unused tickets which do not expire until first use + 14 days? These would be purchased separate from a package. We have a room only reservation.

Linking tickets to MDE and making FP+ selections will not activate the tickets. The clock won't start ticking until you actually enter a park using that ticket.

You're free to do that. You have to physically go through the front gate of a theme park in order to activate your MYW tickets.
