I am hoping to spend a few hours in the morning on April 20th at Epcot, then taking the boat over to MGM around noon. Hopefully, we'll get in to see Fantasmic at 8:30 pm. THen, I was hoping to take the boat back over to Epcot (or walk?) so we can get back to our car.

Illuminations starts at 9pm that night. Will we have enough time to get into Epcot before they 'close', so that we can get back to our car?

Or, do we need to drive our car from Epcot to MGM that afternoon?

You might want to post on the transportation thread. I think it is doable but if you'd feel safer, just park at MGM & then take the boat to EPCOT in the am, then back over to MGM later that day. Fantasmic should end around 9pm & Illuminations ends around 9:20pm then everyone has to exit the park which takes a while so you should be able to get back to EPCOT to retrieve your car. I guess it depends on how fast you can get the boat!

Isn't there a bus from MGM to the front of Epcot? I would post this over on the transportation board, Tyler would know.

My idea:

park at Epcot, get a Fant dinner package for that section of seating to be one of the first out---power walk over to the bus for epcot--see illuminations--go home.

Thanks for the ideas everyone!! There are SO many options on how to get from one place to another.

I LOVE the idea of seeing both Fantasmic AND Illuminations, but I'm not sure that will be possible. I've already tried booking a dinner package for Fantasmic, but they are completely sold out (at ALL restaurants). I'll keep trying in the hopes that somebody cancels.

Keep trying for the Fantasmic Dinner Package, Fishnette. I am going the same week as you and when I tried about a month ago all the reservations were taken for all restaurants. However, I called late last week and was able to get a Fantasmic Package at Mama Melroses for 4/18. It seems like they opened up later dinner times with the package. The original dinner times available a month ago without the package were very early.
