We will be in Anaheim for 9 nights in late September but stupidly booked Medieval times dinner on a Sunday night and the baseball on a Friday night!

We have one spare Sunday night and a Saturday night...

Could you please give your opinion if this is "doable"?

First Sunday night
Dinner booked at Goofy's for 7pm
then 930 Fireworks

Will we have time to get a decent spot to watch.. where should we go?

Following weekend
Friday - baseball
Saturday - Fantasmic... can someone please link me where to get info re where to watch/ do we need dining passes or something?
Sunday- Medieval times

Also.. we plan to do WOC on Thursday night and will get picnics I think..

We are a family of 2 adults and a DS 10 and DD 7 from Australia.

You shouls be able to get into DL for the fireworks no problem. 2.5 hours is a lot of time to eat and get to the park and find a place to watch. If you take a while there will be people waiting on mainstreet, may just want to find a spot and take it. Closer to the hub the better. If not on the spokes off the hub you can see well too. They will have a walkway down the sidewalk on Mainstreet if the street is closed for viewers.

For F! the Dessert Deal is pricey but they let you sit in chairs. On the food thread you can see pics of the desserts. It's pricey but very simple. Otherwise you grab a spot anywhere on the south end of the rivers of america and wait. All spots have a good view with few exceptions.

Plenty of time! They limit you to 90 minutes at Goofy's, and they really will shoo you out if you linger. That gives you plenty of time. People do start staking out spots 90 minutes in advance but there are plenty of great locations to see the fireworks where you can just walk up 5 minutes prior - I've never understood the early birds. If you are one of those people who really wants the BEST seat in the house then you might be short on time, otherwise no worries!

I've never staked out a spot for the Fireworks, but I can't imagine you would get a great spot in the time frame you're looking at. And if Goofy's is running behind and they don't seat you right at 7:00, you might be cutting it REALLY close to get back into DL and search out a spot. Would you be open to rebooking GK for brunch instead? There have been quite a few posts recently expressing disappointment with the food at the GK dinner.

For Fantasmic!, they usually have 2 shows on the weekend nights (9pm and 10:30 I think). If the children are able to stay awake, you will have a much easier time walking up and finding a spot for the second show as the crowds for the first one are clearing out. Hint: be on the Critter Country side of NOS at the end of the first show. As the crowds filter out towards the Hub, follow them and grab a spot. Another option is to book a Preferred Seating Dessert Package, which will give reserved chair seating at one of the shows.

I wish I had time right now to find a bunch of links, but I need to finish up dinner preparation. Sorry!

For the Fantasmic night, people do start sitting out by the water about 2 hours ahead. If getting a really good seat is important to you, I suggest getting there early with a blanket. My family and I always order a pizza from the Pizza Port in Tomorrowland (by Space Mountain... if you ask them, they will make you a whole one) or some skewers from Bengal BBQ and eat them as a picnic while we wait. If we're there really early, some people will go ride Pirates, Haunted, or Thunder, which are all really close. We also bring cards. This way, we don't feel like we're wasting time, no one gets bored, and we don't have to shell out lots of $$$ for the dessert package.

And if you stay where you are after Fantasmic, you can see the fireworks. You won't get a view of the castle, but most people end up sticking around to watch them since they start right after Fantasmic.
