DH and I fell in love with OKW when we stayed there last month. (We lucked into getting it from someone who had booked it through an II exchange.) We've been talking about where we're going to stay our next trip to WDW - which will be before the end of May next year since we're AP holders. But I digress...
We tossed around the idea of buying a small (less than 100 pts) membership in DVC at OKW. We only plan on going every 3-4 years though. The idea is to bank/borrow when possible to get a week and then we could sell points or book for family/friends on an off year. This way we get the DVC benefits and spread the cost out over a couple years. Now would this really work? I saw a 90pt contract for re-sale with all points available. We could bank 2003's 90 and then use the 90 from '04, to get 6 nights in a 1BR. Then in '05 we either sell our points, or rent to family/friends. In '06, we borrow '07's points and go again. Nothing in '07, but we start the cycle again after that. What do you think?
