Will they transfer my deposit....?

I have a current POP reservation. When I call tomorrow for free QS dining, will I have to make an additional $200 deposit and wait for the deposit I already made to be re-credited to my account after I cancel my original reservation? Or will they be able to transfer the deposit I already made to my new reservation?? I need to know if I need to do a quick-as-a-ninja bank account transfer.

It depends. Was your original reservation a room only? If so, they will have to cancel that ressie and make a new and they will not be able to transfer the deposit. This just happened to me. I had a ressie for one day only (day we arrive) and it was for room only. I just added the dp and ticket and the CM told me they would have to cancel that ressie and refund my $ and make a new one with a new $200 deposit. If your ressie was a package and you are just adding the FD no need to make any additional deposit. Hope this helps.

Not true..

If the previous reservation was room only (not a package) then a new deposit and refund will be required... And in any event, the reservation deposit for a room only is considerably less at a value than the deposit on a package ($200) .. so..

It does depend on what you have booked.

Update: No, they didn't need a new deposit and just modified my existing ressie. Of course, my Dis buddies already knew that, though.
