Will they still have Fantasmic if park closes at 7:00?

We are going to Disney in ten days and have never seen Fantasmic. From all that I have read, it is usually late at night (8:30ish). When we are there MGM is closing at 7:00 pm every night. Will they still have Fantasmic? If so, would it be at 6:30? Will the dinner package be necessary? Thanks.

This is just a guess, because I've never tried it this time of year before...but I bet the park closes (i.e., meaning they don't allow anyone else IN) at 7pm, and most of the rides/attractions/stored close at that time...but Fantasmic begins at that time. Sort of like Illuminations at Epcot; the whole park officially closes at 9pm, but that's when Illuminations begins. Then after the show is over, everyone streams out.

But I might be wrong on this. Someone correct me if so.

I am guessing you are talking about Oct 29, 30 and 31? The events page shows Fantasmic starting at 7 those nights.

I would probably do the package so I wouldn't have to worry about seating and 'waste' time. The park closes so early that I would hate to spend alot of time sitting waiting.

July of 06 it was a running joke on the friendship boats going to mgm, the skipper would anononce that... "Disney Mgm Studios is open from 9 am to 10 pm, with Fantasmic showings at 9 pm and 10:30 pm, disney magic at it's best "

Yep. Fantasmic should start at 7. DON'T MISS IT!!!!!!! It's a family favorite for us.

I will be there at the same time- Fantasmic is closed for rehab 11/1 - 11/8 so if you are leaving before then, plan to see it Sat Sun Mon or Tues. I'm thinking it will be crowded, since the rest of the week it is closed.
