Will they make me prove my child's age?

My DD just turned 2, but she is very tall for her age. She is 37 inches and growing, weighs 30 lbs, so most people think she is at least a year older than she really is. We definitely plan to go back to WDW before her 3rd birthday, maybe a couple of times. If we go right before she turns 3, and she looks like she's 4 or older, will they make me prove her age? Should I take her birth certificate with us just in case we have a problem? Anyone ever dealt with this, or am I worrying about nothing?

I'm pretty sure it's an "on your honor" system... so they won't necessarily make you prove your case. If I was in your situation, I would probably just carry a copy of her BC in your purse just in case. If I were pressed by a CM, I would want to be able to whip out proof, and not have them think I'm trying to get something past them.

I have the complete opposite issue. My youngest DD will be 8 in a few weeks, and she's always been tiny. Our State Fair is at the end of August, and I always pre-order tickets so we don't have to stand in line when we get there. This was the first year that the ticket taker didn't say to me, "Oh, you didn't need to buy her a ticket". Tickets are for kids 5 & up.

We always laugh that she will be 17 before she can ride any of the big rides at Disney!

It's an honor system and you do not need a birth certificate or a copy to prove her age. My daughter was 2 when we went and a similar height and weight. We only had one person ask us how old she was and if they gave us a look, I didn't see it.

My husband wanted me to bring a copy of her birth certificate but I knew the rule and didn't bother. I also knew I wasn't breaking the rule so I had no issues with nerves. She was 2, and she was and still is big for her age.

She is now over 3 so I will buy her a ticket next time we go accordingly. I was happy to benefit from not having to buy her a ticket or pay for buffet food for her at that age so now I will pay accordingly in the future.

Ps - don't forget the 2 year olds can eat off your plate at buffets and even get their own meals at some places without charge. It was awesome and cheap! Especially considering she wasn't eating much on our trip.

Nope, completely on the honor system. My DD was REALLY tall when she was under 3 and it was never questioned. I haven't seen or heard anyone ever being confronted about a young child and his/her age.
