I agree that the parking area at the Poly is a prime target for expansion. They can always revamp parking somehow.
I still think a reort along the MK/EPCOT monorail (e.g., STOL) would make sense for a DVC if anothera stand alone one is built. Plenty of room, easy road/utility access, and monorail access.
Well the temperature is easily fixed. As for the original question, while I like the idea of a Poly resort I can't say I'm really impressed with Poly. It has a good location but the Grand Ceremonial House is kept too darn cold (feels like the artic in there) and the resort decor is so 1970's. At least with the Contemporary you have a retro-60's thing happening. 70's style was just yucky to me.

As far as 70's style... Hmmm...
The resort is heavily themed, and really knows no date. They do "modernize" (anyone remember the old white tile floor?), but the overall theme is timeless.
They did recently bring in new furniture and such.
Yup, I would buy at the poly. The only problem is what would I sell??![]()

I'm with those that have no interest in the Contemporary. But we would buy at the Poly in a heart beat.
I would love DVC at the Polynesian. It will always be my favorite. However, I'm not sure if it will ever be done. The Poly is very popular and they would probably make more money off the traditional rack rates than to have a DVC. But I hope they do do it!![]()
