Will they change Wishes?

I absolutely love Wishes, and since we don't get to WDW very often (every few years), I started worrying they might change to a new show at some point. I am sure when they do it will be amazing, but I'd miss Wishes as well. Does anyone remember the show before Wishes, and how many years it ran?

Fantasy in the Sky was the show prior to wishes it ran from 1971 (opening day) until 2003. I personally think it was better than Wishes. That said I am sure Wishes will be around for many years. If they do change it won't be till WDW's 50th anniversary most likely.

Wow, 32 years. That's staying power.

Wishes is all we know, and we understand that we can't go back and see what Fantasy in the Sky was like, but it sure would be fun to compare them back to back one night.

To give you some idea of what Fantasy in the Sky was like the NYE fireworks are basically it with extra thrown in. Much like the current Christmas and Halloween shows are wishes with other elements thrown in.
