Will there be more offers for OCT 2011?

We have been twice to WDW 2009 and 2010 always in October. We booked our 2009 trip in May 2009 and our 2010 trip in July 2010.

Now we are thinking about going also this year in October. But after checking the UK section of the WDW page I learned that free dining was only available this year for bookings until the end of March. During the last two years we only booked later in the year and free dining was still available for our October trips.

Do you think that there will come up again some (free dining) offers for October this year? Or will the prices on the homepage remain unchanged?

What I am also wondering about is the price of the OKW. Last year we stayed at OKW and the price was comparable with all other moderate resort. But this year the price for the OKW would be 2700£ for 10 nights while (for example) the Port Orleans would cost 1100£ for the same number of nights.
Why is the OKW soooo expensive? Even the Swan and the Dolphin would cost less.

My guess is any deals would be in the US for that time of year as UK are already advertising 2012 free dining. This October also seems very busy with very limited availability over the school break. As to the price differential between the 2 resorts....no idea:confused3

I doubt the free DDP offer will return for UK bookings this year now they are on with next years offers but no-one can guess what Disney will do.

OKW has always been expensive, its a Deluxe villa resort so prices are usually around £200/$300/night for a studio, the reason you have seen it cheaper is the offer Disney have been giving for certain dates over the past few years, ontop of the free DDP they have been discounting OKW & SSR by 42%. For August we have paid £117pn incl DDP for upto 4 people, now both offers have been removed the price is £183pn and no free DDP, a massive difference.

I doubt you will get free dining offered in the UK again for this year and in past years they have extended before the booking deadline run out. This time they have let it end.

Wayne has already said in previous years they have been offering discounts which reduced the price to similar to the mods.

Thank you for the feedback.

I was hoping that also this year free dining would be available for bookings after March. So now I know how lucky we have been in the previous two years.

And I was also not aware of the fact that OKW is a deluxe villa resort. Just now I know what a great deal we had last year when we stayed at the OKW. We did not pay more for the OKW than we would have paid for a moderate resort. And then we even had free dining.

As you all think free dining will not come back - do you think that any other offers will come up?

@Celestine: When is the school break in October? We have been the last two years always the first two weeks in October and during this time the resort was not very crowded and even last year we could book our trip not until mid of July and even then we had this great OKW offer and almost all other resorts have been available too.

School break traditionally includes the week end the clocks change. For us in Berkshire this year it is w/c 24/10, so this week and the weeks either side will be busier for UK tourists, but a great time to go
