Will the Wish be decorated for Halloween in September?

Hi everyone! We are Silver and are hoping a cruise is still available toward the end of September when we get our turn to book. Does anyone know when Disney typically decorates their ships for Halloween? I'd love to see this new ship with pumpkins and ghosts hiding out inside it!

More than likely. We are (scheduled) for the Dream this Sept and it is a Halloween cruise. I think as long as it sets sail on or after Sept 1, then they usually do Halloween onboard.

We've done a few Halloween cruises with them, they are amazing. You will definitely see lots of decorations, and they usually also do a trick-or-treat night where the kids get candy.

That is fantastic news! We are hoping to book the final cruise available in September since it will also cover a birthday celebration. Seeing everything decorated for Halloween will be a great added bonus!

Seems to me that sometime in September. We did a NYC>Quebec cruise on DCL a few years ago and they were decorating for Halloween the day we boarded.

I think with the Magic, they decorate it after the European/new york season as the decorations are stored in Florida.

The September cruises are toward the end of the inaugural season sailings.... I hope they do decorate in September as we are booked.... but perhaps as its the first year they might hold off until after the inaugural season sailings. Let's hope not ;)

We boarded the Magic in NYC on 9/25/19 and they were in the process of putting up all of the Halloween stuff. They had it done by later that afternoon.

Oh thats cool they do that! Must have been a few years ago for us - we must have been too early!

It was neat to see! I was surprised that they did it while people were boarding and could see it happening. I would have guessed that they did it in the middle of the night.

I wonder if some of this larger stuff comes on while in port and has to be set in its final place given no where else to put it.
And if some of the people involved are shore side folks.

Replying to my own comment here - I looked back and this NYC>Quebec cruise sailed from NYC on 9/20/18.

I booked the Wish for September and asked this question. Currently it is NOT listed as a “Halloween on the High Seas” Cruise but that could change. Personally I don’t want it to. Since this will be our first time on the Wish, I’d like to enjoy the ship in its natural state.
I sort of share this perspective. I LOVE Halloween on the ship but being my first time on the Wish I want to experience it in all it's beauty without distraction.

That said, I would be surprised if those sailings don't get Halloween decorations. They usually don't change the designation until 6 months out in my experience. My upcoming Sept Dream sailing (that may or may not happen) was changed to a "Halloween" sailing only a few months ago.

Same... I'm also not sure how it will go with the overall Princess-y feel of the ship? I'm sure they would do a great job, but it does make me wonder...
