Oh, yes, my friends.
We're still mad here.
Especially whilst in the throes of potty training DS. See the
Fabby LapuLapuette Thread for details, savvy?
So I have some shopping successes to report.
What? Dost mine ears deceive me?
Did TK actually purchase something with the intent that it was cute, wearable, and keepable?
Yes, indeedy folks! Whilst out on my shopping adventure yesterday in the search of items to entice the little nut to stop having accidents, I happened to squeeze in a bit of shopping for my little ole self.
Oh, yeah. Because if you're at
Walmart and the tank tops only cost $4.50, that's what you do, my lovlies. You squeeze in a little shopping for yourself. Now I had been betwixt and between on my beloved tanks. I need a couple of new black ones for the trip, and at least one new white. Well the white were pretty much see through. And although some may enjoy that, it's not the image I'd like to project in a family park...or ever really.
So here's the deal. I've tried them on before, and they changed the style from last year. In last year's version, I was a medium. Even stevens, no doubts about it, even after shrinking in the dryer, a medium. This year, uh oh. New style called modern fit. Um, modern fit? As in, how tightly can we show the upper part of your body? Okay, I'm young, I'll run with it, right? Wrong. Here we are in between the medium and the large again! Curse you sizing gods!!!!! But not the weather gods...

, because remember, we don't want it to rain or do anything during
MNSSHP that would hinder normal party activities.
Back on track. The medium fits fine, but if it shrinks, not sure. The large is a bit too big in the sense that it's almost below my but. Not so attractive, friends. Not so much. It's a region I'd prefer to not to draw undue attention to, kwim? So, I did what any sensible DISer would do...finally I've learned, young Skywalker.
I bought both sizes. Two mediums and two larges. I'm going to wash them and dry them and see which fits better. I asked at customer service and was told I could return them even after that, so wish me luck! I know one set will fit, just not sure which ones.
Another word to the wise on Walmart tanks in general. They're a very thin material. Which I love for Florida. Kohl's tanks, the ones I purchase anyway, are much thicker and heavier weight. Great for New England, but they do feel heavier in the World. So, I'm very excited about these two new thinner ones, because it'll help me stay cooler. I also know I can rely on Kohl's for my white tank, since they are thicker, and I've worn them before with no see through issues. And that's the pre trip report lesson of the day, savvy?
Also, I found another pair of jean shorts. The same style I already got, and they are so flippin' cute! And I was so excited, inside I was like this

! But outside, I just

. Because it would be weird to turn into a dancing banana in the middle of Walmart...or would it?
So that's my success folks. I've found two new tanks for $9 total and a pair of shorts for $10.
You know what this means? I've reached my desired amount of clothing that will prevent at least me from having to do any laundry for myself on this trip. Woo hoo!

The boy, however....

....well, that's another story.
Again, see

And may the force be with us.
