Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

Let's talk about Lapu Lapu Fabby Fest 2009 some more shall we?

Sure! It takes the mind off the work.

Yesterday or the day before, not sure...I told DH. Told him I would go alone or he could come. Explained the whole process, who was going, etc. The man was not phased. I believe he has come to accept the obsession...and I think he's starting to see that you all are my friends. My internet buds.::yes::

 I am so glad he was not phased by the trip!:woohoo:

It's my new favorite thing to obsess over!

Me too! I think it will be a little easier knowing we are going back when we are comming home!

:rotfl: That's cute that he was not phased. DF keeps asking me what the Fabby Fest will entail. I told him all I was sure of was Lapu Lapu's!

Tell him drinks and more drinks to come...

And they get awesome pinapple t-shirts

I agree!

I forgot to tell him about the pineapple t-shirts. DF is also concerned b/c we have been talking about "trying" to start our family after our September trip. I told him our procreation schedule will just have to work its way around Lapu Lapu Fabby Fest 2009. :rotfl:

I envision some fun park touring as well. I LOVE to walk around the world in Epcot, that seems like a fun grown-up thing to do. Shopping anyone?

Not that I'm opposed to riding rides or anything. Perhaps after I've had a Lapu Lapu I'd be willing to go on a roller coaster. I doubt it, but it could be interesting.

Sure! It takes the mind off the work.
Something has to!

 I am so glad he was not phased by the trip!:woohoo:
I didn't think he would be. I just have to figure out if we're going to make this our trip, or if I'm doing a solo thing. Not sure, I have to see if they offer bounceback free dining. If they have that, I will be booking the unspeakable birthday extravanganza, and then probably do a solo for Lapu Lapu. Perhaps it won't be so solo if my girl Tink comes...eh, Tink? You want to fly out of my airport? ;)

Tell him drinks and more drinks to come...

And they get awesome pinapple t-shirts

Yes, yes! Not only can we shop around the WS, we can drink around it! Except I won't really be able to. I talk a big game, but I can't hold up my end. One drink, and I'm done. However, I do love my champagne in France...or a margarita in Mexico...with salt on the rim...yum, yummy. I wish I was there now.::yes::

I agree!

Okay, you're going to laugh, but when we wanted to add to our family, initially DH and I had discussed trying after our Sept trip. Too funny!

Oh TK I'm feeling your pain:goodvibes . If you lived in the UK your agonising over nursery would be taken out of your hands as the govenment dictates that all kids have to attend nursery from age three. Come August Niamh is going to be attending nursery Mon-Fri 12:30-3pm, DH parents look after her on Thu & Fri while I work and (though I love them dearly) it is no bad thing that she will be spending less time with them as the word 'no' does not appear in their vocab where "the little princess" is concerned (I swear I am reaching Vesuvius proportions but that's a whole big rant that I will not hijack your thread with). If you're having conflict over discipline maybe it's best if your wee peanut doesn't spend as much time with granny and it can do him no harm to have the interaction with lots of wee pals for a little while each week. I think when it's all said and done you'll come to a decision and do what's best for your family because as we all know "MUMMY knows best:rolleyes1 ".

On a side note if you got the new job you may be able to take your holiday time to coincide with your DH's works close down over 4th July and then you could take a wee trip to The World to celebrate Independance Day....doesn't hurt that the McDonald Clan would be there at the same time;) :cool1: :rotfl2:

Thanks for your support! I don't know, from reading your earlier posts, I didn't realize that it's required for three year olds to go. Wow. Do you have to pay for preschool? Just curious.

I know my parents do a good job. I know DS loves to be there. But I also know that they spoil the you know what out of him. And he's a very good, very loving boy, but one day last week, he was so bad and I got fed up. He would not change his diaper after his nap. I told him five times, no joke. I said if you don't do it we're leaving. So I packed him up and we left. He cried, and I did not care. I gave him a drink to have in the car, no snack, and let him sit in that wet diaper. He does not listen some days and I'm sick of everyone catering to him. He needs boundaries.

Oh, am I channeling what your rant would be like? Feel free to hijack if it helps! I'm all ears. :listen:

I am not a roller coaster gal either, so we can sit out on the sidelines if the group would like to partake. I do think we must do POTC, it just seems un-TK-like if we don't! I think EPCOT is a great idea, I wouldn't mind sampling some drinks with you gals. Procreation willing. :rotfl:

Can we try on silly hats too? That just seems like fun. I'm a big drink talker as well, though I will try. :lmao:

I think we are going to have make a flat 2SP to bring along to Lapu Lapu Fabby Fest 2009!

The new picture of your daughter is absolutely gorgeous! ::yes::

OMG are we living the same life or what? That could have been one of my rants right there. The IL's are great people and like your parents do a great job caring for Niamh but there are no boundries what so ever. They are forever telling us that she's perfectly behaved and so well mannered (which she can be but not all the time). According to them she never takes a tanty when they have her (as a friend pointed out, she won't take any tanties if she's never told no and gets EVERYTHING that she wants). To be fair DH has been trying to say to them that they have to toughen up with her or we'll have a real brat on our hands and that it's not fair on her because she is confused with the conflicting boundries (or lack there of). They just keep saying "Oh she's never like that with us", eh my little spy DD12 has told me otherwise as she's now feeling uncomfortable telling the wee one off when they are there and she's naughty because she's the only one in the house that is doing it:eek: . I got so bad that the other day I kind of lost it and said "Well it must just be that we're bad parents because we have regular problems with her testing boundries"...no verbal response just that look that said "YEP we agree":furious: . Any way I'll shut up as I could rant all night about this and you're all on here for pleasure not to feel my rage:rotfl2: .

Its a state run nursery so we only pay £2.50/$3 per day to cover their snack and drink. This is fab as when DD12 went to nursery I had to have her in three full days and it cost an horrendous amount of money. Unfortunately as I was a single parent and had to work FT at that time and was also living with my parents I had no other option.

I agree!

MMMMM shopping ....I would love to do some shopping!

Well Pirates of the Carribean and Haunted mansion are must dos for me...

Would we do MVMCP?

Yes, yes! Not only can we shop around the WS, we can drink around it! Except I won't really be able to. I talk a big game, but I can't hold up my end. One drink, and I'm done. I will join you... A couple of drinks and I will be done...

I am not a roller coaster gal either, so we can sit out on the sidelines if the group would like to partake. I do think we must do POTC, it just seems un-TK-like if we don't!
Sometimes it dawns on me how much you and I have in common. I'd love to sit and watch the world go by with you whilst everyone is getting their thrill on! I love to people watch. I recommend a snack while doing it. I'm sure we can come up with something yummy.

I think EPCOT is a great idea, I wouldn't mind sampling some drinks with you gals. Procreation willing. :rotfl:
Procreation willing! Bwa-ha-ha!!! :rotfl2: May I remind you that my DS was conceived right after I got back from a Disney trip? Coincidence...I think not. Just remember, relaxtion in Disney = new little nugget.

I think DF and I are going to make it our week trip. I think. I reserve the right to change my mind. ::yes::
Can we try on silly hats too? That just seems like fun. I'm a big drink talker as well, though I will try. :lmao:

Ooo, silly hats, silly hats! I forgot about this when I wrote my memories with DS, but when he was a baby we put all sorts of silly hats on his head and took photos. Too cute.

I think we are going to have make a flat 2SP to bring along to Lapu Lapu Fabby Fest 2009!

Yes, I second the flat 2SP! And that picture is beautiful, who takes these shots of your daughter? She looks so grown-up!

Oh, my favorite one is when mom tells me DS eats too much junk. Meanwhile, there's lollipops, sugary cereals, gummy fruit snacks at her house. Mind you, she doesn't do it all the time, but some days he eats crap. And it bothers me. I've mentioned it and it goes in one ear, out the other. I get told, you do it too. Ugh. As a parent, shouldn't I be allowed to buy the kid some Apple Jacks as a treat when he's been good? No, I have to avoid junk like the plague because he has it so much over there. Then I go nuts, because there's nothing fun and buy two half galloons of ice cream over the weekend for me and DH. Not good for my waistline!!!

I guess so....
Yep. I don't want to be giving birth during Lapu Lapu Fabby Fest 2009. :lmao:
MMMMM shopping ....I would love to do some shopping!
Me too!

Haunted Mansion would be fun too. I was wondering if we would do MVMCP....what does everyone think?
I will join you... A couple of drinks and I will be done...
At least we all know our limitations! :faint:

:rotfl2: LL you're nuts....but you're also well aware that I would be SO honoured if you did that for me:cool1:

:goodvibes Thanks for the complement, I always say that it must be one of God's crazy jokes that I have ended up with two tall skinny girls when I'm 5'4.5 and what could be described as Rubenesque (that's if you were feeling charitable). As a gift for her birthday DD and her BFF got a makeover and photoshoot and that's where that picture came from, the pictures were very good but some of them were a little too grown up for my taste (a bit on the Lolita side:worried: ). I'll pm you the link to the site if you want a peak.

Yep. I don't want to be giving birth during Lapu Lapu Fabby Fest 2009. :lmao:

HMMMM, yep I don't think Lapu Lapu's have quite the same effect as an epidural;) .....I think you need to drink B52 shooters for that effect:lmao:

Also if it was a girl you'd HAVE TO name it Kirsteen in honour of the fact that I couldn't be there

I would love to people watch with you! I think we do have a lot in common. I love to people watch the families especially, it can either be really sweet or really really funny. A snack is a must!
Procreation willing! Bwa-ha-ha!!! :rotfl2: May I remind you that my DS was conceived right after I got back from a Disney trip? Coincidence...I think not. Just remember, relaxtion in Disney = new little nugget.
Uh oh! I will have to warn DF. :lmao: I adore the phrase little nugget. It reminds me of those McDonald's happy meal toys they had when I was a kid of the chicken nuggets. They had outfits and hats that you could remove. Anyone else remember them?
Ooo, silly hats, silly hats! I forgot about this when I wrote my memories with DS, but when he was a baby we put all sorts of silly hats on his head and took photos. Too cute.
Awww! :cloud9:
Yes, I second the flat 2SP! And that picture is beautiful, who takes these shots of your daughter? She looks so grown-up!
2SP you will have to take a fabby shot of yourself while you are on you WDW trip!

When I was with my ex, his mother would give his daughters coffee milk. She would literally pour a teeny bit of milk in their SIPPY CUPS and then coffee as the rest. It was absolutely horrifying to me.

Depends on my budget, I guess and if I got MNSSHP one a previous trip...don't know if I would want to do both...what do you guys think?
I am not sure. I would like to say yes, but it depends on money. Are you planning on doing it on your trip in December? I don't know what they offer during it. I have only researched the MNSSHP.

:rotfl2: LL you're nuts....but you're also well aware that I would be SO honoured if you did that for me:cool1:
You send me the picture, I will make the flat 2SP! :thumbsup2

Oy! Can you say stunted growth and hyperactivity? Repeat after me, caffeine + children = BAD!
