Yes, indeedy, folks there is a curse. And it's very interesting.
Here on out it shall be known as "SpectroCurse."
What is SpectroCurse you ask? I, TK, will be happy to answer.
I can only vaguely remember the last time I saw the SpectroMagic Parade. I love the SpectroMagic Parade. One of my favorite, favorite memories of this parade is from when I was still in high school. I was at the world with the fam, and everyone wanted to go off and do more stuff before the parade. Now, we had hours, mind you. I think it was about 400ish, and the parade I believe was at 800. I said, I really would love to go get a box of popcorn, sit at the top of the train station and people watch. Who's with me? And you know who joined me? My Nana.

I love my Nana. For reasons that may or may not be so obvious. Nana took me on road trips when I was little. We would go exploring to different museums and historical places and zoos and all sorts of whatnot. When Granddad was still alive (her husband, my mom's parents) they took me and my sister on vacation during the summer. We went to Amish country in Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Canada...we were very, very lucky kids. Suffice it to say that Nana is not only Nana, she's my buddy. And she is also my, I will just sit with you TK, and people watch kind of buddy. So we bought a box of popcorn, and made our way up to the top of the train station in MK, and found a lovely bench with our names on it. And we sat. In the Magic Kingdom. For four hours, until other fam arrived and Spectro was fixin' to start. We sat, and we watched everyone come and go on Main Street. As an artist, I really like to observe people. To see them on their vacations without knowing I was watching them. To see children with parents, and people smiling and laughing and enjoying themselves. Then to watch them line up for the parade. Nana and I talked, and didn't, and watched people, and ate our popcorn.
And then I got to see SpectroMagic. I love it. I can't even describe why, but there is something so fun about a parade that relies solely on it being dark outside, and is lit up for all the World to see. It's beautiful, and that music stays with me for months.
And after that lovely memory, you're probably wondering, what is this SpectroCurse of which I speak?
Why, I'll tell you!
I don't remember the last time I saw the whole parade!!!!
Every fleshmagenah time I try to see it, it rains! Or thunders, or lightenings, or some other kind of inclement weather pursues my little SpectroMagic parade until I hear that fateful announcement. "Due to inclement weather, this evening's performance of the SpectroMagic parade has been cancelled." Words I hate to hear. How often they have rung in my brain. So sad. So true.
Why bother relaying my sad tale of woe?
Last night, instead of getting some much needed sleep, I went onto the wdw website and tooled around. I checked op hours and show times, and what to my wondering eyes did appear?
A scheduled SpectroMagic parade during my stay!
At 800pm on Saturday Sept 20th!
After Lapu Lapu Fest!
Perfect timing!
Is it possible the SpectroCurse can be lifted? Will TK finally get to see SpectroMagic again?
Help me, ObiWan, you're my only hope.

to the weather gods that it will be so!

At any rate, I now have a new spreadsheet...detailing all the various parade/fireworks times for our entire vacation. Although I know most of it by heart, it really makes me feel organized to have my spreadsheet.
Ah, predictable, lovable me.
