I'm looking at fares for Satudays in Oct and there are non for $79. Do you think they will come down? There are 17 of us going and we hope to get the 79.00 fare. (We have 3 free tickets so we don't care, but the rest of the family does!)

Just be aware there may not be 17 tickets at the low rate. They only sell a limited number of seats at certain prices so if you see a great rate jump on it.

I would ask SW if they offer a discount for large groups.

Assuming PVD and a quick check based on 1 traveller, shows $79 fares available for all Saturdays except 10/8. Since this is a holiday weekend, I don't think they will come down. If you were looking at a different Saturday, see what happens when you change your number of travelers. You may see that a fare is available for 4 people, but not for 6. And I would definitely call about a group rate. For that matter, I'd call all the airlines for a a group rate. The other thing to do is stagger the arrivals. Good luck!

Thanks for all the info. Southwest offers a 5-10% discount on groups over 10. This is great! I didn't know they did that! Love these boards!
