Planning on going to Disney World for the first time Jan 21-30. I know I will be avoiding MLK weekend but with the super bowl right around the corner think the parks will still be crowded? I can travel anytime of the year and nothing is final yet so Did I pick a good time or should I change my dates?

We were there during the Super Bowl in 2005 when it was in Jacksonville. We did notice that the MK was especially crowded the next day - and there was no Super Bowl "parade".

Hi,

You'll be leaving WDW the Friday before the game; that's the day most ticket holders will likely be flying in. I would think that crowds should still be quite manageable. January (after New Year's week) is one of the "slower" times at WDW.

we are also going Jan 21-28 to avoid MLK. Going to be 3 generations at POP...me, DH, DD,DSIL,DGS 7 and 4 months!!!

Here's another Super Bowl related question. Has anyone here ever been at WDW after the Super Bowl when the winning team goes ? How crowded is it then and did you get to see any of the players ?
