Will SSR slow resales down or lower the price?

I think SSR will impress many who tour it, from the pictures I have seen recently it looks very nice. I know it isn't exactly in the center of things, but with lower points to stay there and the longer contract do you think we'll start noticing a drop in resales or the price of resales lowering soon?

And if so, would you buy a resale?

I dont know about a drop. But once SSR resales hit the market, I do think they will be worth more than the others in the long run.

IMHO resale prices will drop when and if Disney decides to stop using it's ROFR. But I also don't think they will do that because it helps the price of what they are currently selling. The smaller resorts may hold up for a while even without ROFR. Just look around for a BCV resale. Most of them are gone before they even hit the market. Supply and demand will kick in without ROFR!

I think suspect SSR could impact OKW resales but I don't see it affecting the others for a few years. In fact I think you are seeing it now...the only items out there in a big way are HHI, VB and OKW. Yes I know OKW is bigger than the others but the resale list seems to be noticeably out of balance for a while. SSR is essentially OKW with an extra 12 years and walking distance from DTD. Makes me think that OKW will begin to sell at a discount relative to BWV, BCV and VWL.
