Will someone tell me what the heck I'm watching!

So I'm all excited because I haven't seen How the Grinch Stole Christmas yet this year. Well, ABCFam has it on now (8:00). The guide info clearly says "How the Grinch Stole Christmas 1966" followed by the description of what I'm used to watching...but it's all different!! He's driving a car and now the Cat in the Hat is singing! I don't remember the Cat in the Hat being in the Grinch! Where is Whoville? Where is little Cindy Lou? And the rhyming narrative?

What on earth am I watching?!?!

We're watching the same thing

It's the Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat made in 1982. I've never seen it before and haven't been paying attention. My husband says it's one of Dr Suesses books! who knew?

"The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat." I kind of remember that it existed, but don't remember it.

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas," Cindy Lou Who, Boris Karloff and all, is supposed to be on Cartoon Network at 7:30 central (in about 15 minutes).

Oh and Disney Channel is running Nightmare Before Christmas!

that happened a week or two ago when i went to turn on Rudolph and instead of it being the original stop-motion version it was some weird 3-D version that i didn't like at all.
